We had a late lunch here one balmy Tuesday afternoon. The owner didn't give us a menu - she took us into the kitchen and showed us what was available and ready to be served. We chose a beef stefado and a traditional *macaroni cheese* (I can't recall the greek name). What a pleasant experience to sit metres from the sea and enjoy a simple tasty meal.

Mediterranean Winter Warmer: In March 2019, we visited Lendas, southern Crete, where we enjoyed a traditional Greek meal at Taverna Zahos. While it was the only waterfront taverna open at that time, we certainly weren't disappointed. Scrumilicious, traditional Greek food, with lots of fresh seafood options. Our meal came complete with crisp white wine, friendly service, views to die for and the attention of the taverna cat. We finished our meal with coffee and homemade chocolates. Yummo!

The restaurant is positioned in a beautiful setting overlooking the bay. Though the staff are lovely our evening was disappointing. The meal was rushed taking less than an hour and on that evening the food average. This may have been due to there being a large group also being served. Stark ceiling lights did little to help improve the atmosphere.

Beautiful and quiet location on the shore. They serve good simple food, well done, at good price. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Often you can eat fresh fish caught by Aris, the owner. Typical Greek cuisine. Truly enjoyable to stop after dinner for a drink: chatting with the staff or Aris himself is a pleasure.

The taverna Manouraki offers very nice and authentic Cretan food. The menu changes daily and you order your dish directly after a visit in the kitchen where all food is prepared freshly. Whenever offered go for a stew (stifado) from goat or beef - absolutely fabulous... Don't miss the fish soup or in case you prefer vegetarian the stuffed tomatoes and pepperoni.

This restaurant is a great place, just on top of the cliff facing the beautifull Loutra bay it has a wonderfull view.The suvlaky is perfect and Niko, the host with his mother, father and brothers are realy nice people.Come here on your way to Trahula beach, an increadible beach in this area.

Small waterside family restaurant with good selection of classic fare. Good taramasalata,cold drafts, and descent house white. Food was fresh and well prepared if a bit skimpy. Had sardines,octopus, greek salad. Service was quite good and helpful. Finished the meal with the obligatory raki and a chunk of grandmaâs apple cinnamon cake. The only real negative is we had to ask for Olive Oil and when it arrived it was in packets...thats like ordering a good wine in France and it is served in a paper cup....I donât understand.

Right on the beach, serving exceptional seafood - started with a visit to the kitchen to see 'what's cooking' - result was the best seafood spaghetti we have ever had! Very friendly owner and staff, even have a guitar 'onsite' for guests to play. Seemed to enjoy a few songs from Manos Loisos! Many thanks, folks, we'll be back some day!

We came to Oasis for three nights during our stay in Lendas, The setting is beautiful, on the western edge of the village on the sea. The food is all cooked by the mother and served by the daughters, Maria and Stella. The father helps also as does a cousin, You are brought in to the kitchen to select the dishes of the day or can order from the menu. After the meal there is complementary raki or limoncello and a little dessert. If you want to experience the real food of crete with no fuss this is the place, It is simple but very genuine, a real welcome is given to all, they remember your name and greet you the following day. Fantastic and should be rated much higher on Trip Advisor

A tasteful taverna in all the senses: beautiful location, beautiful scenery, decorarion, atmosphere. The food was full of flavour and the service was great! Good selection of local wines. Defenetly my favourite restaurant in Crete so far. I am looking forward to my next visit. Thank you Zacharias.
