Find out what Greek restaurants to try in Konitsa. Konitsa (Greek: Κόνιτσα) is a town of Ioannina in Epirus, Greece, near the Albanian border. It is located north of the capital Ioannina, and northeast of a group of villages known as the Zagorochoria. The town was built amphitheatrically-shaped on a mountain slope of the Pindos mountain range from where it overlooks the valley where the river Aoos meets the river Voidomatis.

The feeling after we left was just average/commercial/typical/mainstream. We were the only ones there, service was ok and the people seemed genuinely polite. The food was really average, you will find the same taste in any commercial tavern in Greece. French fries swimming in oil and a bit tasteless, Greek salad (really big portion) was good, vegetable pie was average (nothing compared to traditional pies in Epirus taste-wise); the beef meatballs were an exception as they were really homemade and tasted sufficiently good. Overall, portions were big, taste was average, prices high compared to what you get.

Great food, great people, and great prices make this place a great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Voula is the Wonder Woman our front and your fantastic food is prepared by her talented husband. Be sure to have a desert and tell Voula we said hi!

With only a few months of operation, it was characterized by many as one of the best restaurants in the region. Apart from the traditional recipes with pure ingredients selected by local producers, you will also be amazed at the incredible view, as the we
"Papigo towers" is a traditional restaurant but very modern at the same time in all levels. Good quality of raw ingredients, mixed in a traditional way and served in modern style. Clean toilets! However, top of the list is the personnel. All the guys are kind in a way that it's not snobbish. Definitely recommended!
In the central square of Konitsa you will find restaurant "Stou Giannousi". You can taste Mediterranean flavors gazing an amazing mountain view! With traditional Greek flavors, and local wine, it is the best place for demanding customers. A traditional sp

Went there expecting a lot as we had read about it in a book but unfortunatelly did not check reviews before going. The hotel is in a beautiful area and itself is nice and classic though in need for of renovation. The service was painfully slow and the food was just plain average and personally did not like it and nor did my partner. Prices massively overpriced and would not go there again.

We were driving for hours, heading towards Monodendri when we randomly stopped at Konitsa for lunch, and even more randomly chose Kapnismeno Tsoukali. We were very pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing, both in quality and quantity, great value for money, the staff was very polite and helpful. A great experience just from passing through Konitsa.

Excellent quality tasty food.Very friendly service.Stone traditional building in abeautiful location (in a stand-alone little village - through an amazing wild forest area). If you would like a very enjoyable meal in the general area of Konitsa, the 20 minute drive from the latter is certainly worthwhile. Highly recommended. We will surely visit again.

Centrally located in Konitsa, and maybe the inly remaining taverna to eat dinner with family and our dog. Unfortunately some recent reviews captured a similar experience: the personnel was unfriendly and doesnât allow entrance with dogs (which is against the law actually). Not recommended at all based on the personnelâs attitude.
