Things to do in Gerakini
Sorry to have decided to end our Gerakini trip here. The food was not terrible, but far worse than a normal local taverns.A family owned place, poorly organised. The owners smoked near the tables, the olive oil they served had gone bad, fried zucchini oily and soft, grilled calamari gummy and hard served on a bead of formerly frozen vegetable rice that smelled still of the freezer. The beer was served properly in a frozen glass, so a plus here.It rained so we had to stay inside, where it rained over most of the tables.Price range is the local average( I suspect a mini trust agreement, the prices are strangely similar between taverns)

Enjoy your meal or dinner in our garden under the trees with view to the sea. You may choose between our greek cooked specialities, seafood or meat on the grill!
The food was very tasty and the environment very pleasant! Everything arrived on time and the service was friendly! Hard to find the empty table. Fresh fish, a big variety of meat, vegetarian food and traditional Greek cousin. Fantastic place to experience the true Greek food. Dessert is from the house.Do not miss it!

Fresh fish & salads, amazing view by the sea!
They were choosing whom to pay more attention by predicting how much more they would pay. Only one waiter was taking orders, the others were only serving. They all were unfriendly and very arrogant. The service is extremely slow! They didnât bring us what we ordered and we were waiting that someone comes to be asked but they were all serving only for 1-2 big tables and they didnât pay attention to the others. At the end we didnât eat what we wanted. Also, they bring you bread without asking and after you pay for it (1 bread about 4 euros). Very disappointed and I will never ever go there again.

Terrible service, awful staff !!!On Saturday and Sundays they have their own preffered customers for preffered sunbeds. They are not marking in any way these sunbeds, simply trying to get rid of you - not in a friendly manner. After trying to get rid of us, they found a new way to treat us, as a customer - they are simply not taking any orders now - probably they believe we will leave without anything to drink. The worst service ever. I have prepared a complain to the Ministry of Tourism - they should know how an European Union tourist is treated in this place.

Our restaurant is a family business. You can spend your time eating good food and listening to good music while the chef prepares your meal and you will feel like you are our long time friend.
First impression this time was wrong. The restaurant felt unprepared, poor options to eat, too many non-greek products...I was so wrong! The name of the restaurant is fully deserved. The quality of the food here matches some of the top Michelin Star restaurants(minus the plating and the price)I was intrigued by the name of the restaurant so I ventured in an off the menu Greek clasic- shrimp saganaky. I was blown away! The surprises keep coming from apparently low profile dishes like grilled aubergines.I would not have been surprised to see this restaurant in center of Athens or Thessaloniki. But in Gerakini...this is a must have, even if you are not staying here. Be prepared, not all options from the menu are available always. But those that are are great. The staff is very friendly. We also bought great quality honey and olives from them at medium prices.

We had a Gyros sandwich (2.9â¬) and Gyros Portion (7.5â¬) and it was very good, much better then what we had at any restaurants (you actually cannot find verg often Gyros at Restaurants). The portions were huge and we couls not eat it, we only ate about half. We also had a Tzatziki (2.5â¬) and it was very good, portion was also large. Overall, we had a food time, dedinitely a place to go if you are looking for a good Gyros.

Have eaten here twice for dinner and the food and service was excellent. Staff are friendly and attentive and Head Chef Nicos delivers quality and good value seafood and meat dishes. The local dry red wine is fabulous and puts many others to shame. This is one of the top restaurants in Gerakini and a must visit if you are in the area.
