A nice surprise in Galaxidi town if you are into something different from fish local tourist trap tavernas. You may not taste genuine Italian pizza or pasta here, but it is a nice restaurant serves Greek revisions of Italian recipes at very good prices. Toilets were clean and service very polite. Place can easily be noisy and somewhat annoying to your laid back dinner.

The new restaurant has moved to the other side of the little harbour and looks smart, modern ... but still a bit authentic. The restaurant continues to be family owned and the food is typically Greek with fresh vegetables, fish, etc ...And yes, the âwowâ factor is missing and it may be a bit overpriced compared some other local restaurants nearby but ... I would pay a bit more for such a view anytime!

At first we thought the owner was a little sharp, but once you realised his humour he was fine.We ordered the fried calamari & mussels in tomato & feta sauce, we got a shock at first as the mussels dish looked small, we are used to getting mussels in the shell. The dish was packed with lovely plump mussels, I had to ask for the recipe, both were tender & lovely. The carafe wine is also very nice. In Australia we would never order house wine but in Greece we find it nice.

Very satisfied from this restaurant! The service was quick and the staff was polite! I was pleasantly surprised with the steamed mussels and the fresh fish which we had the chance to choose it before the cooking and it was actually very tasty. Greek salad and appetizers was very nice as well. The price was very fairly considering all the dishes that we ordered. Good value for money! I would visit it again!!

The menu comprises what is available from the market with what Mama has carefully prepared in her tiny kitchen across the road from the sheltered tables on the street-side.Gastronomic this is not! This is genuine home-cooking of simple, family-sourced recipes at its very best. It's a joy to eat here, particularly if the weather is kind and Mama's daughter is on waitressing duties.'WIGIG' sums it up. When it's gone, it's gone. Delicious food, so popular that some dishes run out far too soon! It's very easy to see why!

În traditional and nautical Galaxidi, which is located half an hour from Arachova and Delphi, there is a family tavern which exists for twenty years. It's called PORTO and is housed in a 19th century building whose upper floor used to be the first hotel o
We really enjoyed our visit to Taverna Porto. So much so we went back the next evening. First night, great salads followed by fabulously fresh sardines and dorado. Second night, much busier so service a little slower but that for us was not a problem, again different but lovely salads. Fresh fried anchovies and lamb with pasta. Both nights washed down with basic retsina. Not gourmet but good honest fresh food. The husband cooks and wife does front of house. She speaks excellent English which is helpful.

Wine, Beer, Tsipouro & Ouzo with delicacy small plates (like tapas). You can enjoy your drink outside and inside.
Small and intimate ouzaria in the center of town. Usually a local crowd drinking wine, beer, ouzo and enjoying small plates of homemade delicacies. Open only late mornings to mid-afternoons and typically closed on Wednesdays. A real treat for visitors wanting some local Greek flavor.Thank you very much for your good comments. We are getting stronger and try to be better.

Sea food, vegetables and mezes (tapas)Tavern
We were blown away by the originality and authenticity of the dishes here. They not only looked good but were incredibly flavoursome. The restaurant gives a delightful twist to some Greek classics and convincingly reinterprets others. Service was attentive, informer and friendly, accompanied by a decent wine list and a great setting next to the enchanting port of Galaxidi.

This small, characterful restaurant is in a narrow street away from the popular tavernas on the sea frontage, so it has to be extra good to achieve such good reviews!Family owned and run, the dishes seem authentic, the welcome unsurpassed and the value as good as you'll find anywhere. Many of the dishes on their quite extensive menu derive from old family recipes and are therefore certainly not hum-drum by any measure. We enjoyed two visits on consecutive night and were well pleased on both occasions. Certainly highly recommended.
