In an old building on River Road I was surprised to find this great little place right in our neighborhood! We haven't dined in yet but have really enjoyed being able to pop down the street and get amazing food, steaming hot with 12% discount for pick up! The Platter for two was an wonderful combination of appetizers & main course and the Prawns in the Garlic Prawn dinner were huge & delicious! Excellent food & very friendly staff, can't wait to go back.

Upon arrival, we were asked where we would like to sit. Two high chairs were provided for our little ones. We requested two large salads for our party- Greek and Caesar, which had crispy and fresh ingredients and nice tang to the dressings. Hummus was garlicky. Calamari appetizers were enormous and delicious- a meal in itself. The batter is not overwhelming-crisp and tasty. It is well worth it to order the appetizer as your entree with salad on the side. The lemon potatoes are supreme with wonderful lemonness. The chicken souvlaki was cooked to a turn- tender, well- flavoured and ever so good! Service was exemplary- a nice balance of friendliness and suggestions. The spanakopita was enjoyed. Portions are generous. It is a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our friends have frequented this family restaurant for thirty years and I can see why. Great value.

Although the inside has been updated, this is a classic red check tablecloth Italian restaurant. Ok itâs a Greek restaurant too! But this time we ordered Italian. The baked ravioli was very good as was my dates pizza. Prompt service and friendly smiles all around. Sure, it's not black tie dining but it is authentic old school fare. Prices are reasonable.

Been coming here over 30 years and consistently good!! Best family recipes. My favorite is still saganaki cheese as appetizer and chicken souvlaki, or Lasagna with meat sauce, double cheese â¤ï¸ - Large portions with the emphasis on quality!!Randy the manager is so darn funny too, ask to be put in his section. He will have you in stitches all night.

Fast service, good food. We were there for late evening dinner. The food came quickly, tasted homemade and was hot to the table (My pet peeve, lukewarm food). Unfortunately we arrived quite late and the kitchen shut down while we were finishing, otherwise we would of ordered some of the olive dip to take home. My husband really liked the potatoes, both our meals were good.

Taverna Gorgona has had a makeover. It is bright and airy with an upbeat atmosphere.The food is delicious, try the saute scallops and prawns. Great selection of wines as well. Enjoy!
