I come to Andros every year and visits to Andrea's are as important as going swimming at the numerous beautiful spots the island offers. The restaurant is an oasis of shade during the day with outdoor dining under a thick canopy of mulberry trees that not only provide shade but also filter the rays of the Aegean sun to produce a majestic mantle of suffused natural light. This is a family restaurant with decades of experience behind it and a vigorous knowledge of Greek cuisine. The family runs two other restaurants in Athens all year round and open "To Steki Tou Andrea" on the island from May to September. The service is excellent and friendly and the staff (invariably consisting of Andreas and his sons among others) readily recite a litany of gastronomic goodies to choose from. Of course there are menus for non-Greek speakers; it is also good to look around at what the other tables are eating and ask the staff about things that catch one's fancy. My favourites include the homemade taramosalata (authentic versions are not pink!) accompanied by fried courgettes; try the many vegetarian options including the gigantes beans (my teenage daughter has me trecking around London looking for something vaguely similar - we are still to find it!); and my all-time favourite are the grilled lamb chops which are the best on the island as far as I am concerned. The other night we had all this washed down by the house rose which was excellent. The owners source their house wines from various producers and they are always great. Don't order desert! Watermelon and melon will come gratis, along with a selection of greek deserts made daily. A must visit restaurant.

Five of us unanimously chose this restaurant for a special meal out together and we were not disappointed, knowing that a master chef was in attendance.Lovely evening views across Batsi harbour whilst eating a huge, perfectly cooked steak served with chips, salad and peppercorn sauce. (Nb this is listed as âvealâ but is beef for sure)Four of us had the steak, the other a chicken dish cooked on a skewer served with salad. We are all healthy eaters and all struggled to finish because of the very generous portions, we could not leave a single delicious mouthful and then heroically still managed the wonderful banoffee pie provided on the house.Bottled cold Methos is served here in frosted glasses and the house red is quite acceptable.Service is delightfully relaxed and there is never a rush to move you on at the end of your meal.Slightly more expensive than several of the neighbouring restaurants, but absolutely worth every penny.

Exploring new horizons in cuisine without leaving the charms of the past behind, our philosophy blends contemporary and traditional elements in a celebration of Greek/Mediterranean cuisine and atmosphere. Our rapid success in becoming the stylish yet affo
From the perspective of a vegetarian, there wasnât much going on, so we ended up going for something called âpatatinas with yoghurt sauceâ or something similar and âsmoked aubergine with local cheeseâ. The latter consisted of a small disc of aubergine mash with a tail of grilled cheese and a swish of pepper sauce. It was ok. The former turned out to be homemade crisps (British) or chips (America) with a small pot of yoghurt. It was all a bit greasy and not particularly what we wanted. This rather unassuming quantity of food, washed down with two beers, came to 17 euros, which I felt was a little too much.

Lithi is an all day cafe bar restaurant located at Chora,Andros. Serving brunch from 9:00 am and cocktails until 4:00 am!
The service is really slow . They either have very few people working or they can't cope with much workload. However 50 minutes to prepare some sandwiches is too much. If you want something to eat I would suggest going to a restaurant or another caffeteria. However it had tasty sandwitches and desserts. Another very positive fact is that coffee is also really good.

The Dolphins restaurant is located in Andros in the beautiful seaside village of Batsi just above the sea road at the top of the double stairs. It's a family business operating since 1986. Enjoy traditional greek dishes, homemade specialities of Andros, a
Stopped for a late lunch. Staff were very friendly and food was excellent. Good choice of dishes and drinks. Waitress also gave good advice on local public transport and things to do on the island - very knowledgable. Great harbour views from the restaurant. To be recommended.

Typical Greek restaurant with good food, but generally not standing out from the other ones.Service is a bit hurried, due to the huge number of table to serve.I would not plan a trip to Batsì just to dine here.

We had an excellent dinner even if we feared it was too late to find a table and any food left given the number of cars parked outside. It turned out that they had a pleasant table away from the screaming children and despite the flood of people all tge staff was attentive and smiling. The goat wrapped in oily paper was excellent as were the vegetables that we ordered. They also bring you a small bottle of rakia with your water. The bill is cheap and again the staff was very kind and welcoming.
