On one if the corners of the crossroads in Alykes, this place gets busy. All the things you would expect from a Greek restaurant. The staff were great, especially our waitress who was great fun, we had swordfish which was delicious and barbecued ribs, the ribs were cooked well, but the sauce wasn't up to much, not very barbecue! Where we sat in the restaurant was a little crowded, which in itself wasn't a problem until people were being seated or were leaving, then you felt a little hemmed in.

A pleasant walk along the riverside in Alykes brings you to this lovely fish restaurant, which serves lots of other dishes too. Very busy the night we visited, we got the last table so would suggest booking. Friendly and pleasant staff, good service. Background music was lovely, taped guitar music playing a variety of well known songs. The food was lovely, and reasonably priced. We will certainly visit again

Just back from another flurry of visits to Paulos Corner grill house over our 11day break in Alykes. Very warm friendly welcome as usual from all the gang at Paulos ! Particularly the Lamb Chops were superb as were the Chicken Souvlaki, the Panfull Liver and the pita Gyros (Best in Alykes!,) If you want grilled food this is Absolutely the place to get it. Our thanks to you all at Paulos for Great service, Great Food, Great Wine and a Great friendly experience, Sincere thanks to my good friend Andreas for fulfilling my special takeaway order on our last night , they are now in my Scottish freezer (see photo) waiting for an opportunity to start using them up! I did get them in my hand luggage but had to leave my sandals behind to get them in !! But hey! You can eat the tastiest pitas in Zante but you canât eat your sandals , thanks to all and hope we are lucky enough to make it back next year ! Vasilis and Yvonne xxx

This was our favourite lunchtime spot, mainly because it was one of the few places to offer a vegetarian option but also because the halloumi gyros were awesome!! Very good prices, tasty food and good service. Definitely recommended.

Kanela Tradional Products Store & Cafe is a unique shop located in Alykes, Zakynthos. Here you can buy your favorite traditional Greek products like olive oil, wine, home-made soap, herbs, spices etc. while you drink your coffee or cocktail and listen to
Kanela was absolutely lovely. They specialise in locally sourced products that are of really high quality, and are delicious too! You can stay and eat here, they do greek mezze style dishes that can be shared, or light lunch bites for one. They have a great drink selection, and at the end of our first lunch there, the owner came to our table and offered us all a shot of cinnamon liqueur (Kanela is the Greek word for cinnamon) on the house.Another day of our holiday, we decided to go out and have a picnic. We asked if they would be able to prepare some small bites for us on a couple of plates we supplied in order for us to take them away, and they did! The staff here will go above and beyond for you and are a fantastic representation of the fabulous people of Alykes. We will definitely be coming back during our next visit to Zakynthos!

We got married at balcony 4 years ago and returned for our anniversary meal. Service, atmosphere and food was amazing. Also impressive that they remember us! The vegetable tart was gorgeous and I had the rigatoni for main which was delicious. The white chocolate moose was tasty but not too overpowering to end a perfect meal

Carpe Diem is an all day and night restaurant located on the main strip of Laganas. Guests have the chance to taste Mediterranean and Vegetarian dishes as well as coffees and a large variety of cocktails.
Food was very good couldnât fault it, but the waiters didnât know anything about wine, the mythos was flat!, sent it back no apology or no offer of a replacement, no one came to ask if you wanted anymore drinks or a dessert, not the service we were expecting.
