We've recently been here for my goddaughters christening. We've been sat in a separate room, so that we could celebrate without being disturbed. We had our own waiters, so that (in theory at least) there was always someone looking after us.Unfortunately this was not always the case. Glasses had been filled, but somehow the waitress seemed to miss out on the ladies and only re-filled the guys glasses. But other than that it was a pleasant afternoon.Food was good, even though portions were a bit on the small side, especially for the guys. Not sure it is worth the money, but it certainly was good.

On my recent trip to Germany to visit friends, I was fortunate to have had lunch at Ernstweiler Hof for the first time. It's a little bit tucked back off the main street that opens up to a farm that now focuses on horses. There is a horse arena behind the restaurant which would be fun to visit when they have an event. The restaurant is open and inviting. The dinner menu includes steaks and a variety of local specialties. For our lunch, I ordered Flammkuchen and loved it. My friend ordered the chicken special of the day which turned out to be a chicken breast rolled up with a cheese and spinach filling. It came with a side salad. Service was great. Non-intrusive yet attentive.

Siri took us here as the first option for "best German food in Zweibrücken". The antipasti starter is absolutely delicious, the vegetables are crisp, tasty and nicely roasted, and the accompanying bruschetta, although a bit away from the original recipe, are generously garnished with a mouthwatering mix based on tomatoes. Go for it, but keep in mind that in Germany a plate usually fits two guests ;-)And a special thank to our host, the lady was amazing at entertaining us while leaving space for private conversations.

We had tried to book a table for 5 for Saturday, but they were already fully booked. Instead, two of us ate there on that Friday. First impression on a winter night was the lit fireplace and the stone and wood ambiance. The menu was shockingly small, but we ate two of the three offerings, the crusted pork and the venison. We found both above average, but not outstanding. The pork was just a bit overcooked for my taste. The first fork of venison was a bit gristly, but the rest was fine. In neither case did we send the plate back. However, this alone, separates a grade of Four from a Five. Still, I would recommend the Alter Bahnhof for an above average meal in a pleasant setting.

Im Zweifel also lieber reservieren.

The restaurant Landhaus with South Tyrolean cuisine Small and cozy, the South Tyrolean Landhaus is housed in a former stable building from the 18th century. Its walls are among the oldest witnesses of the Landschloss Fasanerie. In addition to the classic
Attached to the hotel. They serve a good selection (including vegetarian options) of food, more in a French style than standard German fare. Good selection of beverages.

I ate here last week with fellow workers while visiting Zweibrucken. This restaurant was a 5 minute walk from where we were staying. The food was good; I had the paprika schnitzel. It just wasn't anything to write home about. The service was slow. We were a group of 10 people and it was over an hour before we all got our food. I was overcharged for my meal and had to explain for almost 10 minutes that I had not drank 7 beers; I had two bottles of water. I've eaten at worse places but I've also eaten at many better places.

Mediterranean pleasure in the restaurant Esslibris Zweibrücken. Chef Jürgen Süs spoils you here. Whether romantic dinner for two or family celebration, in the conservatory of the Fasanerie you are guaranteed right. In the Esslibris we serve a casual top c
Located in the Romantik Hotel Fasanerie in Zweibrucken, the Esslibris restaurant is one of the best restaurants in the greater Kaiserslautern area. The meals are high-end ingredients well prepared, but not molecular gastronomy for 50-75 euro per person including some wine. The steak tasted like good American steak and is cooked medium rare (rare in this part of Europe, although I'm sure they will cook it more done on request). Service is a little better than usual for this part of Germany, although still a little slow by American standards. White table cloth, nice silver and glassware. A fine dining experience. There is a very pretty outdoor patio with table and chairs during the warm months and I here they have a great Sunday brunch.

Every single time I visit Zweibrücken, I stop and have lunch at GLEIS 3... and leave with the most positive experience! The choice of dishes is varied, innovative, for every taste. Service is extremely friendly and has humour (!); good speed and attentiveness. Portions are big, displayed in an aesthetic manner, and always delicious. The price level is very reasonable: you truly get quality for your money. Recommendable: the weekday offers at low price. Do make sure you reserve your table: for lunch, the place is packed - and deservedly so! I will always come back to enjoy the good food and atmosphere.
