My wife and I had a good dinner, my dish had 3 kinds of different meats (honestly: it was too much), my wife chose for the medallions of calf, and the salade buffet, with great and tasteful variation, was included in the price. The service was quick, clever and friendly. It was crowded, also with families, due to the fact, I suppose, that they serve also different children's menus.

Legendary Ettelsberghütte near the mountain station from the ski lift Willingen. Sigi's Hütte, the most famous mountain hut in the Sauerland is the Ettelsberghütte on top of the Willinger Ettelsberg. It is just a few steps from the major ski lift. They have truly the best split pea soup ever.Friendly staff !!, fun music, well priced drinks.

We liked completly their portfolio of typical bavarian food, especially the 1 meter - bratwurst (it´s a fantastic starter, especially when you a group). Everything fresh and fast delieverd. Good offers of beer - staff very flexible and always friendly. Once a week there is live-music too. So a good place to finish a hard day of work with the flair of the Alps.

We only had a beer at the place at around 5 pm Friday afternoon. It's located in the center of Willingen. I had the idea the real developments start later at the Brauhaus. But the place looked nice, home made beer tasted well, second even better, it's a place with atmosphere and the staff was friendly.

I liked this restaurant a lot as it was typically German, the food was delicious and plentiful, the staff friendly so it was a nice experience. I think this would also be a good place to go with friends or your partner. My meal including wine and tip cost 22 Euros and for this price, I thought it was very nice indeed. Cheaper meals were available.

The sight of a bar/restaurant inside an old church building was enough to draw us in off the main street. The inside also retains the original church design (in the main part â there is also a nice modern section too) with pews and other such items used well. This novelty is helped by the generally good atmosphere inside â it was nicely busy, but never noisy. The food was mostly good â the more traditional German dishes being the better ones. Worth noting that although this shares a name with the Italian place up the hill, this one is not an Italian restaurant; also worth saying that, like many places, there is no English menu.It does appear like a bit of a novelty of a place, and while this is part of the appeal, there is plenty in the atmosphere, service and food to recommend.

On a beautiful location there is this nice restaurant overlooking the hills. The staff was very nice and the curry wurst was delicious. The interior was also very nice and cozy and unlike many other restaurants in the area it was also very hygienic.

Restaurant "Zum Kanapee" is a small cosy restaurant, part of the hotel "Zur Alten Post", but in a separate building (see picture). The restaurant has the feeling of a large living room with an open kitchen. Over this living room presides a woman, who could easily play the part of cook in a classic movie about a wealthy family. This woman does everything, being chef, cleaning and setting tables, serving food and settle the bill in an unhurried, efficient pace. The schnitzels are well cooked, the beer is cold and the prices are moderate, the more when you take into account the visit to the excellent salad bar, that is included in the price. To find "Zum Kanapee": The entrance is on the side street from the main road through Willingen, leading to the large car park area, under the huge viaduct. The picture attached is taken on this side street with my back to the viaduct.
