Huge bar/dancing/restaurant right on the skislopes of Flachau, Austria. Flachau, near Salzburg is part of Snow Space Salzburg. It appears that all those that ski and all those that do not gather in the Dampfkessel to party at the end of the day until 10 pm. I have never seen such a big crowd before, with people old and young dancing on tables and even on the bar! (Some nights there were gogo girls doing pole dancing). Many people were inebriated but in the best spirits. In the restaurant section they offer good food (schnitzel, burgers).

The Austrian Landzeit chain of motorway restaurants is superb, and puts most other European let alone Anglosphere highway service centres to shame. Like the similarly excellent Rosenberger chain, they are always spotless, offer a big range of food including fresh salads etc, civilised seating and the cute local touch of staff in national costume. This one is particularly stylish, located in a fine (probably two centuries old) two-storey building (see photo) with lots of antique decoration including old photos. Also, views of snow-covered mountains. We enjoyed excellent coffee, sandwiches and grilled vegetables. And unlike the usual case in the German-speaking world, free loos!

Very nice dinner, Great menu and many menu options. Very big portions and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The dinning room is very clean and nicely decorated. Plenty of seating inside and out. Prices are priced just right for location and serving size. Something for everyone.

we passed Bischofshofen and had the pleasure to stay 3 days/2 nights in the hotel/restaurant Bürglhöh.the rooms are great, really nice, and the owners Maria and Sigi do everything to make you feel nicely. then, the top thing is, you just go down the stairs and enter the restaurant Brüglhöh, also managed by Maria and Sigi: GREAT! never had such a choice of excellent (all home-made) dishes, really great! also the wine-card is worth to be seen.great Maria an Sigi, they really make the place worth to go there, and, eat and drink a lot.... great!we will be back!

I have just returned from an eight day coach holiday with Shearings staying at the Zistelberghof in Austria. On arrival I was blown away...the beautiful snow covered mountains surrounding the hotel looked amazing. We were greeted by a family member who quiclkly and effieciently gave us our room keys and brought the cases up for us.The bedroom which was beautifully appointed had picture windows which overlooked the stunning mountains. The food we had each day was very tasty and cooked fresh to order, and served in the restaurant which again had a stunning mountain view. The hotel is about a 45 min. walk from the villiage and ski lift.....but what a beautful walk.......If you dont want to walk there is a free bus every 45 mins to take you there and back.We went for various trips with Shearings to the beautiful surrounding areas but the hotel had arranged a sleigh riide (on behalf of Shearings)on Christmas day. This was magical an hour long through the snow. What more could anyone ask for.I would like to thank everyone at the hotel Zistelberghof for looking after us so well and giving us a Christmas to remember

The restaurant is very simple, next to the recreational lake. Inside could be considered quite kitsch, and in the off-season we only found one man drinking beer by himself, the chef at the bar playing with his laptop and his wife serving us.The most important thing however was the food. Traditional dishes that were well prepared, and a delicious trout! A few minutes after ordering, a kitchen help came to our table with a bucket to show us the live fish that was on my plate 10 minutes later.

Last and this year I have multiple times eaten at this Alm. Each time I had an excellent dinner with all freshly prepared ingredients to a high standard and excellent service. The Almwirt is also knowledgeable about wine and has a nice selection in addition to the beers (on tap as well as bottled such as an excellent local seasonal brew Maroni, which was fabulous with the game, another seasonal variation to the great menu) By far my no.1 choice in Werfenweng. Thank you Christian!
