Stopped here for a late lunch while touring the English Garden. Ate (and drank) in the outside beer garden where the food and drink is self service, cafeteria style. The roasted pork belly was fantastic; the meat was juicy and tender with a super crisp skin. The beer was refreshing on the 95 degree day and the atmosphere calm and relaxing.

Since 1861 we have been offering Bavarian hospitality and first class enjoyment. Franz Schmuck and Thomas Eder have been in charge since 2010 and are dedicated to providing the very best in Bavarian cooking through their time-honoured, traditional dishes.
Went here for dinner with a group from work. First off they had a great long table which made it easy to chat during dinner. Good selection of beer. But the best was the schnitzel that was backed in pretzel crumbs and marinated in sweet mustard. So delicious! Would go back.

Four of us went here based mainly on the recommendations from staff at our hotel which was nearby (walking distance). We were very glad we did. The local Bavarian cuisine was excellent and reasonable. We had the pork (Munich original) and veal schnitzels and bratwurst sausage, all of which were very good. The desserts were also excellent. Service was friendly and quick.

Came here with colleagues from work for whom it s a favorite and it did not disappoint. Food was excellent, typical German plates and excellent menu choice. Staff were good and drinks well served. Service a little on the slow side so don't expect a quick meal. Do have one or two Weiss Biers whilst waiting ! Well worth the trip out to the English Garden - very few touristas too which was nice.

The beer garden offers simple but delicious food, there is an a la carte option for the restaurant and the beer garden. The portions are very generous, the prices are moderate, the quality of he food is excellent and the service is friendly and efficient. I had two meals - I enjoyed dorade and I had a beer garden meal of a meatball and cabbage salad, washed down with a cool beer.:-) Thank you very much for your nice review about beergarden and restaurant! It´s a pleasure to us, that you enjoyed it everywhere! So please come back soon and recommend us to your friends! See you! The Seidls

PASSION-Without passion, Tantris would not exist. Taking inspiration from his travels, the passionate gourmet Fritz Eichbauer commissions the building of his dream restaurant in Munich more than forty years ago. Tantris marks the beginning of a new culina
The 8 course degustation meal was indeed an amazing experience - spectacular food (mostly), delivered with impeccable service. However our group will likely remember it more for the bill shock. Have been fortunate to enjoy several 2 Michelin star restauarnts - this was by far the most expensive at 8 course + wine pairings over 400euro. Did I enjoy myself ? Yes. Would I go again ?? No
