It's the first place where it is possible to eat or drink something from the parking place. The distance is about 40minutes by feet. The Hutte is very nice. The staff is friendly and there is a great playground where the kids can playThanks for the good rating! Until next time.

We went from hotel huberhof panorama to the «Gitchsberg spitze». We walked about 2,5 hours in the mountains and ended the trip at Nesselhutte. Here we bought some pasta and soup, it was ok. Very nice view, and ok prices! The food was ok - i think it was german stylish, but that is typical for the area I think!Thank´s

We stayed here just a night. I wish we could have stayed longer. This is a great spot run by two brothers, David and Thomas. The food is incredible- gourmet riffs on traditional South Tyrolean cuisine. Far more upscale food and lodging than surrounding rifugi. Our room was comfortable and spacious. We would have stayed longer but someone has rented the place for Sweet 16 party (dang, wish I could have gone to that!!). English is somewhat limited here but folks are patient and looking to please so did not present a problem.

We stopped here for lunch and had spatzl with cheese which was great, as well we as other dishes. Their draft beer was really nice! Strudel portions are huge ang delicious. Friendly and quick service, completely renovated exterior, simple and practical with outside terraces!
Cerco di tornare ogni estate in questa malga per provare lo yogurt appena fatto, il latte appena munto un grande speck e tutte le piacevolezze che sa offrire. Si raggiunge dopo una piacevole passeggiata senza troppa fatica.

The food is average. It is good, absolutely nothing to say, but rather normal for a Hutte in South Tyrol. What makes this place special is the panorama. It's like a terrace on the Dolomites...something absolutely fantastic. If possible try to find a table on the first row of the terrace...the view is great and the lunch unforgettable. The restaurant has also a very nice playground for the kids

We had a couple of lovely lunches here as a stop on our walk. They don't speak English but they're very friendly and we had no trouble ordering delicious food

Die urige Almhütte im Skigebiet Gitschberg-Jochtal. Wir verwöhnen Sie mit Südtiroler Spezialitäten auf unserer windgeschützten Sonnenterrasse.
We just went for a coffee here at the start of our walk. It's the cutest little mountain restaurant. They serve breakfast too as we saw the table was all laid. We'll definitely be back for more next time we have a holiday in Meransen

On the way to Bolzano we stopped here to have a quick lunch. We order schnitzel and some pasta. Schnitzel was good but the french fries were done in strange oil (maybe old). And pasta was cold but because we didn't have time we didn't try to ask to change it (I'm sure that they will). Staff were very friendly and fast. Also they have a very nice terrace.

We were staying near San Lorenzo and had been told that Pizzeria Petra made gluten free pizzas on request (i.e. advance booking not required). We stopped there for takeaway pizza one night on our way back from Bolzano. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the range of gluten free pizza was excellent. We ordered one pizza with mushrooms and one with spicy salame. Both were excellent - truely the best gluten free pizza I have ever eaten and well worth the trip from nearby towns e.g. San Lorenzo or Brunico! I agree with another reviewer that we could have had one pizza between two, but were happy to have the extra, which allowed us to be a bit greedy on the night and have left overs for another night. It was also very good value for money at less than 8 Euros per pizza. While we took our pizza home with us, the restaurant looked inviting and we would have been happy to eat there if we hadn't been tired from a day out.
