I took some Bavarian clients of mine to this restaurant to experience a traditional Bavarian pub and local brews. The beers were excellent and the service great but the food was fairly average. I would definitely return put probably only for beer and visit somewhere else if I wanted better than average food.

No one visiting Augsburg would think about going to Oberhausen Hbf.But I have to say that Bob is a nice reason to go... Nice atmosphère inside, nice food, nice drinks, price more than ok (I paid 15⬠for 2 large beers, a large scalop with home chips), and some evening are concerts.I will come back. This is alo very close from the tram line 2 and from the trains station (1min walk).

Located on a pedestrian street in old Augsburg, Bauerntanz offers the traditional Bavarian and Schwabian menu. I sat on the patio, directly on the street, to enjoy the spring's warm night and the locals strolling leisurely. I had the traditional white asparagus with hollandaise sauce, a schnitzel and the unavoidable kartofel (steamed potatoes). It was tasty and fresh. A tad on the expensive side, but hey, you also pay for the surroundings. All in all a decent place to discover bavarian specialties. Don't forget the Augsburger special, a beer brewed locally.

Food is nothing special, staff is not so kind, only the big screen for football games can be attractive.

The cosy atmosphere of the Gewlbes in Ratskeller Augsburg is steeped in tradition and extremely inviting, and allows you to get away from the reality of everyday life for a few hours. Whether you opt for something substantial like the 'Wirtshaus classic
Augsburg is part of Swabia and has much of Swabian culture which you can often see and hear in it's food. At the Ratskeller you get what's most typical in Swabian cuisine which is 'Käsespätzle' which isn't the Austrian typical macaroni and cheese, but chewy homemade German egg noodles with caramelized onions and oozing Swiss cheese. It's delicious food and vegetarian. The Ratskeller is inside the Town Hall which is beautiful too so is an ideal location to keep in period for a little while longer if you wan to sit inside or outside. Prices are only slightly above the average in the area and are worth it, as the food is usually always yummy.

We tried this last night having read the reviews on here and one night only in Augsburg.Overall it was a very good experience. It was busy but we were welcomed and found a table albeit shared and that we had to be finished by 8.30 which wasnât a problem for us.Waitress was very friendly and helpful with advice as to which beer to choose. We ordered the schnitzel which was good but not the best we had experienced in Germany. Other food coming out looked good and people seemed to be enjoying their meals. They had a huge crowd in but service was very good. The beer was lovely.I probably wouldnât go again but can recommend for a standard meal but overall good experience.

When staying in Germany, eating out in a restaurant serving German specialties is always a treat. This restaurant has been no exception, food is above average and the atmosphere is great. The service wasnât in its best form, but still: no complaints. Recommended!

We had been booked in by our hotel , a party of 4 the atmosphere and food were superb , but be prepared to have a hunger, the portions are very large . It was so good that we wanted to book the following night , with Christmas season , this proved impossible .It is clearly heavily booked with local people and is sort out with several large groups in the several eating rooms. The good news was that were quickly served , no pressure at all to vacate the table , and we enjoyed very much the experience a red wine recommended . The bill for three courses , and two bottles of 38 euro wine and several litres of bottled water was £171for four people
