Restaurant Jungfernmühle, ein Berliner Unikat. Süddeutsche Spezialitäten in Berlins ältester Mühle genieÃen. Sonntag ab 11.00 Uhr Frühschoppen - Brotzeit
We visited this german style restaurant on a busy Friday evening. It is in an old windmill and is beautifully converted. The ground floor is quite rustic, upstairs is more posh with solid brass chairs. Matthias our waiter was superb, happily translating the menu into English - this is not in a tourist area. The food was first class and plentiful. We enjoyed it so much that we returned on Sunday evening, this time we'd booked and asked for an upstairs table, we greeted by the owner as returning friends, Daniella looked after us very well, she and the owner translated for us, it is what i imagine is typical German restaurant food, it was superb again. Total bill for 4 mains, 4 wonderful sweets, 4 beers, 4 glasses of wine, 4 coffees and 4 schnapps was â¬125. Value for money indeed. Dear Andy and friends, thank you very much for your visit and review. I hope we will see us again, if you are back in Berlin sometimes. Regards from Daniela, Matthias and the whole team.Michael Franke

Just had an absolutely fantastic eight days holiday in Berlin, jumped the train down from Alexanderplatz Train Station to Schoenfeld Airport ,had hours to kill so dropped into this huge beer hall outside Terminal A for a cooling beer ,this is a beer hall I've been to a few times, always had a good time and so it proved on this visit. The beer hall looks awesome, a rustic looking exterior and interior, a cool looking serving bar and great decor and furnishings throughout this beer hall, theres also plenty of seating options spread throughout this beer hall both inside and outside on their patio. We were here on a Thursday afternoon, a self service bar ,my twin brother Stephen and I got big steins of Augustiner Brau beer ,served iced cold and sparkling, we just kicked back, chilled out and went over the great holiday we had just had in Berlin.I really enjoy Augustiner Brau beer ,light, hoppy and very tasty, when served iced cold as in this beer hall it's such a refreshing beer. We really enjoyed our beers in here and although we only stayed for the one beer each before we moved onto the airport we had a great visit. Easy to locate outside Terminal A Schoenfeld Airport. Well worth checking out.

This place was just a wonderful surprising gem. We were planning on eating at a different restaurant in Koepenick but it would have been a wait, so we stepped into the Zur Alten Laterne and felt like we had stepped back in time. The small pub was friendly and clean, the staff and other patrons fun and friendly. We ate in a cozy dinning room that had a view of the river to enjoy our very traditional and delicious German fare. The music helped to create a mood that took us to the the 30s or 40s. Memorable night!
Itâs a fantastic experience to eat food made from fresh ingredients in an uncomplicated way! Sometimes I have the feeling that there not many restaurants like this one left in Berlin these days; what a pity!

This lace was great, I was stunned by the amount of food we got and how much value for money. The service was firat rate. All agreed this was a great place to eat and will go back again next time we are in the area.
We were staying in an AirBnB a short walk away from this restaurant. It serves traditional German food and all dishes were good value for money. We both ordered the Schnitzel and it was delicious and a large portion. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and explained to us what some of the meals were. We felt welcomed and enjoyed our meal. The walnut ice cream was lovely and the Apple Strudel was heavenly. If we return to this area of Berlin we would definitely return.

This is a traditional German bar/restaurant populated mainly by locals. The staff, especially the waitress was very charming and helped with the menu which naturally enough was in German. The tuna salad was very tasty but the steak which followed was rather tough. I was debating whether a rating of 4 could be justified, but my mind was made up when I found out that they don't accept credit cards. So my cinclusion is, popular with the locals but not well suited to overseas visitors.

Must visit restaurant when you are somewhere around Berlin Schönefeld Airport. Great authentic German food, freshest salad & pasta too. Their home made apple pie is a must try! The price is reasonable and staff are very friendly. Highly recommended.

I just visited here for the third time and not disappointed. It was Sunday so fairly quiet but I ordered the Pork Knuckle with sauerkraut potatoes and horse radish and man it was good. Huge portion with delicious flavours from each ingredient complimenting one another. â¬13.80 and I couldnât finish it. 2 beers to help it go down at â¬4.10 each.friendly English speaking staff as well. Fantastic value in an atmospheric setting, varied menu with a great selection of drinks. Not easy to find but worth searching out, itâs great!
