Bright, self service ( unusual for Germany ) restaurant offering a good selection of light meals and snacks, ice creams and drinks situated inside the Zoo. The meals are reasonably priced and of a good standard.

Ein sauberes, helles und freundliches Ambiente, nettes Personal und abwechslungsreiche Menüs, bei denen auch die typischen Imbissgerichte nicht fehlen. Die Preise klein, das Tempo sehr schnell und das Essen sehr schmackhaft. Man geht zufrieden hinaus :) Gerne wieder!

Die Qualität und der Service haben in den letzten Jahren stark nachgelassen. Pommes matschig und nicht durch, andere Gerichte ertränkt in Sauce. Personal wird immer ruppiger. Sehr schade

Sehr ruhig am Rande von Rheine in einem Park, nahe dem Kloster, der Salinen und dem EmsRadweg gelegen. Die Innenstadt von Rheine erreicht mann zu Fuà durch einen Park und an der Ems entlang in ca. 3km. Vier individuelle, schön eingerichtete Hotelzimmer laden zur Erholung ein. Es wird ein persönliches Frühstück, mit regionalen Materialien serviert.Der hausgemachte Kuchen sollte zum Nachmittags Kaffee nicht versäumen werden. Die Küche bietet schmackhafte regionale Gerichte. Sondern Aktionen erweitern oft die abwechslungsreiche Speiseauswahl. Bei schönem Wetter bietet der Aussenbereich, mit hohem Baumbestand, ein gemütliches Beisammensein.Das Inhaber geführte Unternehmen können wir sehr empfehlen.

I wish we had such a beautiful place here in India. The live counters are so appealing, both to the eyes and the stomach :) Shall definitely return when in Germany next. We weren't that hungry so just had some pastries. Those were pretty amazing too.

It was a very positive experience to visit the restaurant that has a cosiness and homelike atmosphere in an old fashion style.We had a table in the garden, feeling very undisturbed, the service is caring and well balanced. The kitchen has an Italian German twist which is a super combination. The menu card is compact and focused - this is nice.

Das Flugplatzrestaurant hat nach langen Streitigkeiten mit dem Vormieter seit zwei Jahren eine neue Betreiberin, die viel Erfahrung aus der Gastro mitbringt. Das wird schnell ersichtlich. Die Terrasse ist im Sommer meist vollständig belegt, auch die neue Inneneinrichtung ist gut gelungen und für die kältere Jahreszeit behaglich. Die Speisekarte ist übersichtlich, die Gerichte werden frisch zubereitet, wofür man auch mal eine halbe Stunde Wartezeit kalkulieren muss. Mein Mann und ich haben inzwischen verschiedene Gerichte probiert und waren durchwegs angetan. Nach dem Essen wird ein Espresso oder ein Schnaps aufs Haus kredenzt. Die Servicekräfte sind sehr freundlich. Alles in allem: ein absolut empfehlenswertes Ausflusgziel, natürlich besonders für diejenigen, die gern dem Flugbetrieb zuschauen.

Well worth a visit but suggest booking as it,s full with well dressed locals. Three course Sunday lunch approximately â¬18, excellent quality of food and good service. About six different fixed menu options written only in German but staff helped with translation. The soup was clear with small balls of egg apparently, really delicious. No bread served with the soup however. Spotlessly clean dining room and bar area. Did not accept credit cards which was a shame.

Mit Engagement und Herz ist Familie Beesten hier in 4. Generation bei der Sache. Gemütlich sitzt man bei guten internationalen Gerichten wie âKalbsrücken mit Bärlauchbutter und Kartoffelravioliâ. Und danach âAprikosen-Mousse mit karamellisierten Walnüssen

We traveled to Rheine with colleagues recently and before we left the city and drive back to Dusseldorf, we had the chance to stop by Beesten and enjoyed one of the nicest lunch I have had for a long time.The building itself has nothing much to be talked about and it is quite close to the train line which means that during the lunch, the occasional train full of Audi cars makes its way to the harbor. Past this small disturbance, I cannot recommend Beesten enough.Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner I guess and they were prompt to show us to the table. The menu itself is plentiful and the young lady who was looking after our table was very professional. i ordered the fish soup, duck breast and dessert. All very good. Our host recommended the entrecote which looked also very nice. All in all, a very pleasant lunch in a pleasant environment. I will definitely go back whenever I have the chance to travel back to Rheine!

I went here for a friend's get together and since this used to be our favorite place, we chose this once again; We were welcomed back as if no time has passed since our last visit all though indeed several years have.I hope I get a chance to come back......
