Love this place. Great food with large portions and very reasonable prices. Love their red cabbage (its sweet and goes well with the potatoes and the spatzle). The cheese / cream schnitzel is fantastic, although the Jagerschnitzel is very goof as well. DOn't forget the cheese spatzle.
We live not close to this Restaurant, but the quality of the food and the family kidness of the owner definitly make me elect this Restaurant one my preferite. The quality of all foods we have tasted ( snitzel, ribs, rumpsteak) were very high. Entry salat was surprisingly awsome for freshness also for quality of balsamic vinegar. The owner was really kind and let us taste also extra dishes. I really recommend this Restaurant

I often visited for lunch or dinner going back over 20 years when visiting with my family in Pirmasens. The menu selections were diverse and included regional specialties as well as appetizers for the more adventurous, such as frog legs and escargots. I always felt the prices were a bit steep, however the food was above par. The last time I ate there was 3-4 years ago and I was disappointed in the overcooked and tough pork, chicken and beef and the stiff and "formal" atmosphere. The service was mediocre.

A couple friends went here for dinner and all I can say is WOW. The salads were like a piece of artwork. The colors of the freshness was absolutely excellent along with the taste. Then the wine selection was phenomenal. The service is excellent. This is a quaint small restaurant in a small town that the husband and wife run. If I get back to this area I will truly visit this place again. I would like to explore more of their menu and specials. Highly recommend anyone in this area to visit this restaurant.

Spezialität an diesem Abend - Miesmuscheln (Preis 11,-- â¬).

The brewery offers nice unfiltered local beers and typical German dishes - both great value for the price. If you like traditional German food you won't be disappointed - everything we tasted was great and authentic. Atmosphere is typical German as well - the nice view to the city hall outside and the copper kettles inside just add more to it. Service is good and pretty fast.

We ate there at lunch, while prices are very expensive (Starters for 10-25 â¬, mains over 30â¬) food was excellent. Classic European/French with a modern twist. The paprika soup was amazing! The restaurant itself is very pleasant and designed like a fancy (in a good way) rustic wine cellar. Overall a very good experience. Highly recommend!

Recently, I was lucky enough to eat here three times whilst staying at the hotel on business - twice in the lovely restaurant and the other time for a business buffet. I must say I really like the food that comes out of the Kunz kitchens. Most memorable for me were the roast beef (buffet) which I thought was absolutely exceptional and the foie gras starter (restaurant) which melted in the mouth and was completely delicious. The staff and service delightful as always.
