We had a great evening in the Rote Hirsch in Esslingen. Situated in the historic center of medieval Esslingen.We were welcomed by a very professional waiter and chose a table on the terrace - very nice atmosphere.The recommendation was fresh asparagus and it was well prepared and very tasty, served with a crepe and chicken breast (you could have had ham or a steak instead).As all the products are from regional producers - we had a nice Riesling - some things on the menu are very specific Swabian.All in all a fantastic evening. Wir waren am Samstag mit einer Geburtstagsfeier und 18 Personen in der Sonne und ich bin immer noch begeistert vom aufmerksamen, freundlichen Service und genialem Essen!! Selten sooo gut schwäbisch gegessen!Trotz der GröÃe unserer Familie wurde a la carte serviert und wir hatten mit Sicherheit zehn verschiedene Gerichte am Tisch und ALLES sah spitze und verführerisch aus. Natürlich kam nicht alles gleichzeitig aber dafür muss man dann einfach Verständnis haben und die Qualität sowie der Geschmack des Essens haben die Wartezeit wieder wettgemacht. Anbei noch ein Foto des Schwabentellers...wenn ich nur daran denke knurrt schon wieder mein Magen ;-))Bitte weiter so und wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch!!!

We visited this place while driving from Arco back home. Excellent food at low prices. There is enty to choose from and much variety. I lived the waitress (owner) who had humor and style. Lovely wines as well. Truly a tip if u visit this area.

All Swabian classics and some other German specialities are served here, along with local wine - which is difficult due to climate, especially for the red, but the barrique Spätburgunder is quite good. The food is good, yet not extraordinary, but it's not expensive and the location and the atmosphere are great and staff is very friendly. I recommend to try the Maultaschen and the Besenpfännle.

If you read the title and you read my December 2016 review, you will learn that Hupperts demonstrates one of the most important aspects of fine dining - consistency. Not just in food quality, but in their approach, service, presentation and friendly, hard-to-replicate atmosphere. Third time is a charm. This latest visit sealed the deal for me. We invited friends with high standards when it comes to dining out. This visit to Hupperts didn't disappoint. I finally got to partake in the sweet cigar/drinks lounge in the basement. We were asked if a fire would be a nice addition - it was a bit cooler - and it was awesome. I really didn't want to leave. The service continued even then...The attitude of the staff is incredibly humble given their background and experience. You will not find a friendlier dining experience in Stuttgart.

Set in a quiet back street in a modern looking House You will be transfixed when you come through the door. Its like walking into a Mountain Chalet Style Restaurant with wooden walls, floors and furnishings. Great cosy and informal anbiance! The menu is typical Swabian with good honest food and delicacies such as dumplings with wild mushrooms, boiled beef, apple fritters and local vegetable ravioli served in broth. The wine list is good with many top local wines you would not find elsewhere. This place gets busy and I would recommend booking in advance. Top service with husband and wife running the kitchen and serving the guests. If you are in Stuttgart and want an authentic evening this place is a must!

A bit out of town (Ostfildern), this restaurant is readily accessible by car and well worth finding. Our party enjoyed the salmon salad, the schnitzel and the noodles washed down with several liters of refreshing hefeweizen as we whiled away a lovely spring afternoon under the umbrella of their large beer garden. When the weather got a bit messy, we moved inside and finished our meal there. The staff were friendly, they offered English menus and whole setting was quite lovely - indoor and outdoor. Again, not your typical restaurant setting but well worth visiting if you are driving in the area.

The food is freshly made with mainly local ingredients. Nice atmosphere and an authentic German experience. The food is excellent but is not fast; however, well worth the wait. Everything we ordered was excellent: the schnitzel stood out. Reservations are recommended.

This is a very nice restaurant in an old house in the City center. The place was not full and most of the costumers were locals. The food was really good. I had a Cordon Bleu pork with potato salad and a fresh salad that were amazing. The local Esslingen beer is also good. For dessert, apple fritters with vanilla ice cream.The service was excellent and the restaurant is very cozy.

We booked this restaurant which was fortunate, despite it being a Monday night, as it was full when we arrived at 7pm.The food we ate, the atmosphere, the age of the dining area in the cellar we sat in, the helpful waiter, and the excellent wines and beers we chose, all added up to make a very special evening for us.We recommend 'Weinkeller Einhorn' to anyone wanting to experience a genuine German evening.
