If you want to sit in an Austrian grandmama's dining room, with an Austrian grandpapa preparing totally fresh local pasta (various kinds of spätzle, full of fresh eggs and nice flour, some added by spinach and fresh herbs, served with delicious meat or sweet täschchen filled with homemade plum and/or apricot marmalade, with a bit of hot butter from Alpine cows and a touch of cinammon) - this is the place exactly from you. Famous Mölltaler lamb meat and game is cooked according to many years old recipes - all soft, juicy and delicious. Combined with the homemade pasta it is a real experience that won't be forgotten. You can buy also homemade jams, compotes and liquors - all produced by the "grandmama" :).The place from the outside is not very attractive (might look better other time than mid of March, when the snow is gone and no flowers show yet). We will definitely come back.Reservations recommended for lunch and dinner but if you come late afternoon you will have no problem to grasp a place.

Sehr urige Buschenschenke. Herrliche Lage oberhalb des Millstätter Sees. Schöner Gastgarten. Nette, flotte Bedienung. GroÃteils selbstgemachte Speisen und Getränke. Günstige Preise. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

We had lunch once here returning from a hiking and it was a very nice experience. The man who served us was so quick and friendly that we couldn´t believe it. Mymeal - spagetti with nettle pesto!! decorated with flowers -was delicious and my husband liked his Kase-spetzle very much. And the nut -raspberry cake with the local cream was heavenly. This place with a stunning view is unforgettable. It is also possible to buy some local food products there.

If you are love hiking - this is a wonderful place to start atour along the "Love Trail". Phnatastic view, good "alpine" food, friendly service. If you want, you can purcase fresh cheeses and butter there. If you come before 8 a.m. you can even watch how the cheese is made from the fresh milk.

The food was very good, but the waiters were not a good English speakers , we ask for a English menu and they say they don't have one, they didn't know to tell us nothing about the food in English, so we had to translate with Google.....After all, although they saw that, came to the table and talk with us in german. Disappointed for a touristic city.

The Pichl Hütte is a lovely place to visit, hike and relax. Our family has returned here time and again over several decades for all of the best reasons. The views and ambience are spectacular, the food is excellent and the hosts are warm and welcome. You can hike all the way from town or drive up a winding gravel road, but however you arrive, you can look forward to spending time in a quiet, peaceful place you'll not soon wish to be leaving.

Enter the Middle Ages! Be present at a burning of witches, face executioners or commiserate with your pilloried forefathers and watch the tortures in the dungeons. Torture Museum at Sommeregg Castle Middle Europeâs biggest torture museum with more than 70
A fantastic experience, highly recommended. Great building with a fantastic view when you reach the top.The food is amazing and really lovely staff. I would recommend the platter with 3 different types of ribs. At â¬14 per platter, (3 half rack of very meaty, delicious ribs) you really can't go wrong. Loved the extra touches should as the metal bowl to put in the rib bones and the apron to wear whilst eating.

Recommended by an employee at Landal Katschberg, this restaurant did not disappoint. Even though we don't speak or read German the staff was very helpful translating the menu. It was neat trying local dishes and they were delicious you won't go away hungry. The decor is whimsical, make sure to wander around inside an check it all out. The views of the surrounding mountains complete the meal.

A quirky delight, the old castle has a suave style that is fascinating, Ula's Spätzle are always good, I enjoy taking guests there to show it off!
