This restaurant is attached to the hotel by the same name. The food is good. They do specialize in game type meals, but there are standard options as well. The cucumber salad was delicious and the wine list was extensive. It was a beautiful well cared for location and the customer service was excellent.

We stayed by Waginger See for a week and came to Bräustüberl Schönram several times for dinner. Good, honest business. May look a bit touristic but beer is good, food is cooked with heart and service was always very friendly and welcoming, not to mention that the place looks awsome. Certainly one of the best picks in the neighbourhood.

I relied on the waitress, who was very patient of my very poor German, to guide me on what the special of the house was....she pointed to it on the menu..i'd never seen that dish before...so i said sure...lets go for it. It came out as a thin...flank steak type cut with carmalized, then crispy-fied onions on top..all of it was swimming in a brown gravy. Served with traditional potatos. It was different...something if i knew what it was going into it..i probably would not have picked it....but it was amazing. I will be going back before I leave for home. The only reason it got 4 instead of 5 starts is because they dont take any kind of plastic....they are cash only. Had i of known that...my dinner choices would of been different. They were very understanding..and asked me to just come back the next day..

Came here for dinner with our travel group. The place is a farm with their own small beer brewery. The dinner was true austrian food that came with soup, spare rib and chicken, dessert and yes drinks including their own brewed beer. The place was very nice, their family member was serving the food which was excellent and the beer were very good to the last drop. There was also entertainment, a violinist playing familiar tune from you guess, the sound of music. All in all a night to remember while visiting Salzburg. Just note that this is not in the town center but it was worth it.

I went here with my Mum and my husband, it is immediately charming when you step in the door. It was about 5:30 pm in the middle of winter and was warm inside and full of people. We sat upstairs and our waitress was so friendly and lovely - my husband doesn't speak German but she managed to get across which beer was best without me or my Mum helping any! The meat dishes that we ordered looked amazing (I'm vegetarian), although the meat that came in specialty of the house, the Pfandl, was a bit dry. Portions were very big! My vegetarian option of vegetables with potato cakes (like hash browns) and sour cream was ok, some of the vegetables were out of a frozen packet (understandable in the middle of winter), and a bit rubbery. Honestly I would have preferred some 'in season' vegetables - cabbage, winter salad, beetroot... there are enough I think! This place is just down the road from where my Mum lives so we will definitely be back...I hear the cakes are amazing!

Stayed here on a recent business trip and was thoroughly impressed. The hotel is actually an old monastery and this is reflected in the decor, the bedrooms are actually the monks old cells! All of the staff are friendly and very helpful. The most outstanding thing for me though was the food, served in different rooms at different times of day, it is just outstanding and very good value.
