Visited this restaurant whilst attending a family reunion. The 1902 building and grounds are spectacular, a truly beautiful area in which to relax. The service was outstanding, especially the lovely lady with the dark hair. The food was delicious and plentiful, including a lovely buffet for dinner. A delightful place for a romantic dinner or sunday brunch with the family.

Dazu alles Gute. Hinterlässt eine Lücke in Uerdingen.

Restaurant Korff: Tradition and regionality are an important part of our gastronomic philosophy. Our cuisine is characterized by first-class quality and freshness. Chief Günter Rönner combines regional classics with international trends.
For the first time we visited the restaurant and we were very satisfied. The service is friendly, unobtrusive and very efficient. The meals are excellent and especially at lunchtime there is a special menu with offers, which have good value for money. In the city of Krefeld you have to search a long time to find a restaurant that is comparable in quality. The restaurant is located just outside the city centre and offers plenty of free parking space.Hello Johnny19039,Thank you for your kind words and that very nice review. i am glad that you had such a good experience during your visit at our restaurant. we hope to welcome you again soon.We are glad that it was so good with us and we are very happy that you liked it so much.Best regards!Matthias Cantow

We were visiting family and thought this would be a good place. We were seated at 730. Our orders were not taken until 800 and the food did not arrive until 9. The reason stated for the extremely slow service was that everything was being "freshly prepared". We eat out very frequently at very high end places and have not experienced such painfully slow service anywhere. While the food was good, this kind of service is unacceptable.

Whilst staying in Krefeld on business I visited 'Badde' for an authentic German dinner and I was not disappointed. Badde has a very authentic German Restaurant feel with dining both inside and outside. The menu was not available in English but I got what I wanted and I choose well as it was delicious. I had the "Fuhre Mist" (which translates as a 'cart load') of Grilled Meat (Chicken, Pork, Beef Steak and a sausage) with beans and roasted potatoes and it was superb... Enjoyed it very much and the portion size was beyond generous. I finished with the 'Pfannekuchen' which was a thick Plum Pancake with a scoop of Vanilla ice-cream all dusted in icing sugar. This was also excellent, very German and very large. Prices are reasonable and my generous German meal, with a large Coke Zero, cost â¬30 I can highly recommend Badde to anyone with a hearty appetite looking for an authentic German dining experience.

This was a lucky find as we'd planned to go to a different restaurant before a concert in Krefeld but couldn't get in. Struggling to find anywhere to eat we waited on the doorstep here until it opened at 6pm and were warmly welcomed and offered a table outside, which was very welcome on a very hot evening. The outside area is lovely, peaceful and shaded with sun glinting through the tress. Wonderful. On a short trip to Germany this was the best menu and wine list I'd seen. A bottle of La Forge Estate Chardonnay was ordered and quickly brought, nicely chilled. Delicious. Also bread and cream cheesey dip made with herbs and pink peppercorns for us to nibble, free of charge. We didn't have much time so just had main courses. One saltimbocca and one onglet (hanger steak). Both were cooked fabulously, the steak quite rare but with a nice dark edge, very tender. And the saltimbocca still moist with crispy parma ham and fresh sage leaves. A similar jus on each plate, a little bit balsamicy, but deep and flavourful. Both dishes were so good we practically ended up sharing our plates. The steak though was perhaps the best I've ever had, seriously. Excellent cooking. We liked the place so much we reserved a table for the following evening! We weren't in a rush the next night so had the same white and a bottle of 2006 Chateau Le Temple, again superb. The waiter, a very nice man, seemed surprised that we ordered 2 bottles for 2 people! But he carefully decanted the red and left it to breathe while we attacked our starters. My German's not good, we both ordered "Krabbe", which I thought was crab. Google translate seems to confirm this but we got little shrimp instead. Very nice though, with an avocado cream, all prettily arranged on the plate, and salad in a glass. Not the first time I've had food served in a glass in Germany. My only small criticism amongst all our food was 2 completely soft prawn crackers stuck on either end of the prawn and avocado salad. Really not a good addition to a plate with such finesse! I tried to constructively point this out.We both had the onglet again for the main course, it was that good. This time we asked for a few extra vegetables, and potatoes instead of the potato dumplings which we'd had the night before, which they were happy to do. The potatoes were sauteed with a few onions and were awesome. Gorgeous. Once again everything was cooked perfectly.Desserts were great too, we both had ice cream with assorted little goodies. My friend's selection included basil ice cream which was really nice and went great with the berries.Good coffee too, friendly staff, a lovely place inside and out (raining the second night so we sat inside). Frankly, I've had some rubbish food in Germany, bland and predictable. Meat, turnips, kraut, that sort of thing. This place was quite different, a welcome change, and a very lucky find.Thank you so much to all the staff and especially to the excellent chefs who really know how to cook.Fantastich.xx

I ordered wild game goulash with ribbon noodles and apple compote from the lunch menu. The goulash was rather salty and dry, the noodles obviously reheated, not at all al dente. When I complained the waiter didn't care about it, no compensation was offered. This restaurant used to offer good food in the past....... I liked the apple compote and the new "Schlueffken Alt" beer. I don't think that I'll go there again.

A large group of 40 had a great dinner here tonight. We pre-ordered our choices. I had avocado and tomato salad with crunchy shrimp to start, followed by steak and chips, perfectly cooked. Very enjoyable meal, friendly and efficient. Only small complaint was lack of air-con. Room is big, with high ceilings but was extremely warm.
