We had a dinner there a couple of days ago. We took roasted wild pork and a salad. Everything was so delicious and fresh, also wine and beer were very good. We suggest it!

Just a one night stop off at this amazing hotel, my husband has stayed before and really enjoyed it. We had the Winkel suite which overlooks the lake, amazing view. The suite was huge, very clean and modern with a touch of old style fixtures. So quiet and tranquil, no noise at all. We had a fantastic breakfast, smoked salmon, fresh cold cuts, cheeses, fruit, bread, coffee and juices. I personally would have liked to have something sweet for breakfast but all the same I really enjoyed. The staff are lovely, friendly and discreet. We woke up at 6 .30 to a beautiful sunrise and then it started snowing and the view was even better. We will be staying again.

You really are sitting out on the Werbellin lake at this restaurant, and great smoked fish to either eat there or take home.

We happened to come across this place - stuck away in the woods, right on the edge of Lake Werbellin. Pleasant atmosphere, pleasant and attentive service - and really good Italian food food! From the nice outside terrace one has a wonderful view of the lake. For those who want to combine the visit with a swim - there is a great place for swimming in the lake right downside of the restaurant.

Finding a decent mid-day meal around Werbellinsee on a sunny Sunday is not easy. If the tables aren't already fully-booked, then the meals are likely to be hurried and basic. It's especially difficult if you are vegetarian, as German cooking is, well, a bit meaty. So, happening upon Zur Krim was a delightful bit of luck. The setting is on the peaceful cobbled market street where we ate outside and soaked up the typical sleepy rural village atmosphere. We were treated to a surprise procession of horse-drawn carriages. Charming, but probably not a regular occurrence. The inside of Zur Krim is like stepping into a room in a museum, where the curator had installed every cliche of what a German Gaststätte should look like. A bit overbearing with all the dark wood panelling, mounted deer skulls, and faded oil paintings, but gemütlich (cozy/homely) none-the-less. In England, everything would have been ripped out and the place turned into a ghastly gastro-pub.The food came in German-sized portions so there was lots of it and it was very good value. I had a fresh, colourful salad with fried breaded mushrooms and potato wedges that was piled high on a large plate. The salad consisted of every salad vegetable you could think of, plus flowers! It was a first in that I even enjoyed the home-made Sauerkraut. A lot of care had gone into it, and the cook had even carved the carrots into rosettes. Not the most sophisticated meal I have ever eaten in Germany, but served with East German charm and in an un-hurried atmosphere kilometres away from the noisy, crowded establishments further down lake Werbellinsee. Is that a coded way to say that we had to wait a long time for it coming, or that we were very nearly the only diners? You might read that into my review, but for that Sunday in that location Zur Krim was just perfect.Summary: Rustic hospitality in a typical old-time German eatery with generous portions and plenty for the vegetarians.
