It is located in a region to the east of the Lake Neusiedl (German: Neusiedlersee; Hungarian: Fertő tó) which is named the Seewinkel (lake corner).

I cannot recommend this restaurant. The food was really bad. They have just pork and fries. We ordered soup, which I doubt was real broth, then salad, which was really complicated to eat because it was served in really unpractical bowl, the pieces were too big and all the vegetable was swimming in some hardly definable sauce. Pork was chewy and without taste. In general there was nothing interesting on the menu. On top of that service was really poor and very impolite. The restaurant has its own winery. We wanted to try it, however, it was even impossible to order a glass, since there was no waiter. Do not go there, it was waste of.money.

Ich kenne dieses Lokal schon sehr lange und bin bei jedem Ausflug ins Burgenland eingekehrt. Wir waren bisher immer zufrieden, aber leider werden wir in Zukunft nicht mehr kommen. Die sehr knapp gehaltenen Speisenkarte war für uns immer ausreichend. Meistens haben wir ein Brot mit Kümmelbraten gegessen, der Kümmelbraten war aus unserer Sicht immer besonders gut. Leider gibt es den nicht mehr. Also haben wir etwas anderes gewählt. Und da merkt man dann leider das es keine richtig typischen Gerichte für einen Heurigen gibt. Ich hätte Geselchtes, Surbraten, oder ähnliches erwartet. Gibt es alles nicht. Ich habe mich dann für ein Schinkenbrot entschieden. Für mich war es Schinken wie im Supermarkt. Meine Frau hat Presswurst gewählt. Auch die war nicht besonders ansprechend. Es waren dann auch noch einige Knorpel in der Wurst. Ich habe einen Cabernet Sauvignon gewählt, der Wein war leider kalt, somit hat er nicht anders wie Schankwein geschmeckt. Zuletzt haben wir dann noch bemerkt das es eigentlich lebensgefährlich ist auf der Terrasse zu sitzen, denn die vielen groÃen Bäume waren zum Teil abgestorben. Darunter zu sitzen ist einfach lebensgefährlich.

Arrived in Sankt Andra looking for somewhere to have an early dinner. This restaurant looked very inviting with it's outdoor seating in the shade. Service was friendly and efficent. Food was excellent, great Wiener schnitzel, delicious salads and the pork medallions were amazing. Local wines offered and the one we had was excellent. Simple but well cooked local food.
