The restaurant has been open only one week.It is the site of a previous italian restaurant (called Schutzen) but the entire building has been extensively renovated. It is by one of the bridges alongside the river - great location. The decor has a comfortable feel to it. The couple who own the restaurant are very involved - she in front of house, he as the chef. And what a chef. He has worked at Michelin star restaurants and it shows. We stayed two nights in Donaueschingen and had dinner there both nights - there was no reason to look for another restaurant. Meats, vegetables, soups were all sublime. The menu does offer a variety of choices, not just your typical main courses.Being so new, they have some opening pains. They are desperately looking for staff - but it seems he only wants well qualified people in the kitchen so there were delays in getting food out of the kitchen - but well worth the wait. And given the quality, the cost was quite reasonable. If in the area, you MUST try this restaurant. It could very well, and quickly, become the best restaurant in town.

We visit my parents every year as I grew up in this area and we have our usual suspects of restaurants we visit. This time we tried something new, because we heard that the chef is excellent of the "Adler". We were very pleased with the food, we were six people with six different courses and each one of them rated their experience as excellent. It was truly delicious and having grown up in this area, I told my parents, that "there are really no bad kitchens in the Black Forest". Well, this one stood out. We will be back next visit.

Without doubt one of the best restaurants I've eaten in - staff were very professional whilst being warm friendly and welcoming. The service was superb and the food was fantastic, beautifully cooked and very well presented. The restaurant itself has traditional comfy and welcoming decor and has a very relaxed atmosphere. The menu is well varied, consisting of a range of gorgeous hearty traditional German fare - all perfectly cooked and presented. There is also a range of fabulous deserts but sadly we were just too full! The prices offer immense value for money and I can't recommend this place enough.Really - don't miss it!
A szobak jok. A foldrajzi elhelyezkedes jo. Sajnos maga a szalloda egy nemzetkozi foutvonal ejjel nappali duborgese es egy marha istallo erezheto kozvetlen kozeleben helyezkedik el. A reggeli rendben van, az etterem nem jo.

Avoid the back room if you can. It's Siberia. Our silverware was not set before the soup arrived, so we just sat there until a waitress realized that we lacked spoons. Our wine was opened and poured, and the bottle was left on a table in the center of the room. Alas, the waitress never returned to refill our glasses, so I did her job for her. The restaurant accepts neither AMEX nor VISA, so make sure you have cash. And count your change, because our waitress made a 10 Euro mistake.

Fabulous food quality, very professional prepared. We visited this restaurant twice during our stay, which is proof of the top quality served. A family operation, father - the corpulent bartender behind the bar - and his son and daughter run this place. The stakes are impressive in taste and size. Really a restaurant to return to. Highly recommended. By the way the beer - Fürstenberg - is of superb German taste and quality.

This is a very pleasant place. We've stayed here many times over the past 15 years. Friendly owners & staff, very good food and superb Breakfast Buffet. Staff are very accomodating. The rooms are in different buildings but it's a very quiet little farming town. Rooms are spacious and clean-with a free bottle of water to boot.

I had already been to the restaurant before and wanted to come back with a group of French friends. The food was just as good as I remembered, we had a variety of local, seasonal dishes, from peppersteak to mushrooms and maultaschen ( a sort of giant ravioli). Everybody were happy, even if it was a bit of a long wait for the food...Nice salad bar for selfservice, and our waitress was extremely friendly and patient with all the translation between French and German. The restaurant is just next to the cahedral, the Donauquelle (source of the Danube) and the very good Museum Art Plus. Will absolutely come back here.Dear Ithaca96,thank you for your positive rate. We are looking forward to see you again. Best regards,Helene Kuttruff

Our chef Michael Preis & his team will treat you with regional and seasonal dishes and with famous Black Forest specialties. We attach particular importance to lean on fresh quality and as far as possible the regionality of our products. Let yourself be i
We enjoyed a dinner of white asparagus (Spargel), steak and dessert. The spargel came with a cream sauce that was just excellent. Being in Germany during this seasonal dish,we had many sauces and this was the best. The steak was a small thick fillet, perfectly cooked, and very tender. We appreciated the emphasis on quality rather than quantity. (The portions in many German restaurants are too large and we leave a lot of food.) Very nice restaurant with white linen table clothes fresh flowers and candle. Would recommend it.
