Food was very good. It did not take more than 15 minutes after ordering until it was served. My special wish to get the salad without onions was only possible in removing the tomatoes with onion completely. No time to cut some new tomatoes. Our waitress was checking the bill with us and she found out that there was a position on it from a different table. There are some nice guest rooms but we were in a very big room without atmosphere (because we booked too late).During warm wheather there is a nice looking beer garden.

We were passing through and stopped for lunch. Our waitress was helpful and efficient and provided us with English menus. This is a conveniently located restaurant right on the main street through town with both indoor and outdoor seating. It offers traditional German food and it does it well. You'll find an extensive menu with all the German specialties. It is well worth your giving it a try.
big portions. Not great quality OKHad schnitzel -big and filling bit only okHusband had a mixed meat thing - huge ok quality

There is an indoor restaurant, but on this warm summer day, we ate outside in the courtyard. About half the tables were occupied, but a wedding reception was in preparation stages. Perhaps that was why the service was a bit slow. The regular menu was what you would expect from a gasthaus - not too long and not too adventurous. I ordered the Schnitzel Gorgonzola (because I am adventurous) and my wife had the featured Leckerle, a pan fried cutlet. Both were of good quality, but neither was anything out of the ordinary, quality wise. Prices were in line for a Gasthaus. We were neither disappointed nor enthused. We can recommend it as an average restaurant in a lovely setting.

A tiny hotel in a nicely renovated building from 1600. It is family-like managed by a strongly engaged couple. The beer garden aside the river Woernitz invites for relaxing drinks and excellent food .The menu is not big but what comes from the kitchen is prepared with love

We stayed one night in the hotel and decided to have dinner. The owner/chef, a wonderful, enthusiastic young man, guided us through a great dining experience! We started with pumpkin soup, which was absolutely delicious. The flavor was mild but kept your tastebuds wanting more. We then were introduced to a wonderful wine to match our dinner choice. We both had pork medallions with spatzle, served with a mixed salad. For dessert, we were treated to the chef's choice. He presented a dessert to share of creme brûlée, parfait, made of elderberries from his yard. Also a plum compote, served warm. Slices of fresh fruit. The flavors were all so delicious and flavorful together. We then had a digestif. This is a great example of using the freshest, local items!!

I found this hotel by accident while looking for the castle. I parked at one of the pay for parking lots and walked to the town center. Stopped here for some juice and coffee. Then after talking with one of the owners, reserved a room. Nice place! Beautiful and well-furnished room. Lovely people working here. Friendly and welcoming. Representative Swabian menu. Great beer.

Beautiful village with a medieval castle and postcard perfect pastel buildings. We ate at this lovely waterside restaurant at an outside table in the dapples sunshine and watched kayakers pull up alongside the restaurant for lunch. Lovely views, friendly service and a simple menu. We shared a meat and cheese platter matches with a refreshing beer. Our daughter had a sausage platter. Good, simple German food.
