Things to do in Florsheim
We have been there twice now and the food is amazing, this has to be the best restaurant on Floersheim, the menu is not too big but has something for everyone. The service is super and friendly. There are tables outside for those who like eating outside we have always been inside especially as it gets a bit cooler now.I like to try different things and there is enough choice to give me problems in selection. We will certainly go back often to eat there.

We arrived in Raunheim for a 1.5 day airport stopover as our first stop of our European trip, only to find that we were in the midst of public holidays Whitsunday and Whitmonday. Although this did not detract from our enjoyment of the quaint town and lovely riverside walks, it did leave us with few choices for affordable meals. Monopol Restaurant was a lucky find for us, and we went there for dinner both nights of our stay.We were first attracted by the attractive alfresco dining on the front verandah, but also by the relatively inexpensive beer and meals menu. Monopol is an Italian restaurant, serving primarily pasta & pizza, both of which we sampled and enjoyed. Being unable to speak even rudimentary German aside from "Guttentag" und "Dankeshoen", we had to rely on the kindness and patience of our server, who helped us sort out our order. It was only late in the piece on our second day when we realised that the restaurant was very authentically Italian, and all the staff and most of the clientele spoke that Italian as well as German! In short, we enjoyed the atmosphere and food at Monopol very much, and hope our hopeless English bumbling gave the staff some amusement in return for their gracious hospitality.

I was invited by my business associates for lunch at this restaurant. It is a nice family-run restaurant in a rural surrounding. I enjoyed my Erdinger alcohol-free Hefeweizen beer and a delicious vegetable omelette (yes, for lunch!). Service was prompt and with a smile. The ambiance was nice as well.

Our restaurant with its outdoor terrace offers not only a unique view, but also a rich selection of dishes of the highest quality. Especially pasta and steaks belong to our specialty.
We've been twice and the second time was even better than the first. The restaurant is comfortable, light & airy. You can watch the barges go by on the Main. The service for us is good & friendly, apparently not for everybody if you believe the reviews. Wine & beer are good. The food is good. The meats are well cooked and of high quality. You need to work through the menu to determine what it is you like. The deserts are very good. If we were to criticise at all it would be that the starters don't match what comes after. Is it expensive? It's not cheap, but we frequent restaurants who ask much more. The reviewers who seem to expect wagyu beef for a low price might need to adjust their expectations to reality.

Very popular restaurant by the River Maine. Good size terrace with plenty of tables & chairs. Service a bit slow on the Saturday afternoon we were there. Had to go inside and order directly at the counter. Latte coffe @2.90, ordinery coffee 2e. Flamkucken overpriced at nearly 9e but the baked Camembert I though was good at 7.50e. Good selection of cakes as always in Germany @ 2.50e a slice and a good size too. The inside is looking a bit shabby and could probably do with some refurbishment.

I enjoyed three excellent meals at this restaurant. The food is a mix of European cuisines and quite imaginatively presented. Service was outstanding and the setting was delightful. The entrance is a little odd, being in a building shared with a canoe club but when you go upstairs to the restaurant there's certainly a wow factor. I particularly enjoyed the cheese-filled meat patty and I got to try zander for the first time. There's a self-service salad bar with a good selection of items. You certainly won't leave unsatisfied.I'd definitely return for a fourth meal.

This family restaurant is absolutely wonderful and totally German: friendly and helpful wait staff, hefty and delicious offerings, especially German favorites, and a small town family oriented clientele. The first time I tried to get in it was booked solid with locals, but a week later I was able to get in on a Wednesday and was thoroughly delighted. I was, I think, the only 'outsider' there but was made to feel right at home and was welcomed and well taken care of. If you have a car and are looking for a place sort of nearby the Frankfurt airport (and have a GPS system or good map, then this is the place that will make your travel worth while... probably 15 minutes away from the airport. I travel in Germany a lot and this place is top-notch.

Three days in Raunheim and thanks to the excellent experience of a year ago, among other choices, we return to Zum Bembelsche.A stone's throw from the Mercure Wings Hotel offers a traditional cuisine of high quality, various spacious rooms and friendly staff, wide selection of dishes for every taste, really recommended.

The bar is set high. This was my first experience with authentic, German cuisine in-country. And it did not disappoint. The food was great, the mood and environment were authentic. A great, little local place in a very cool traditional building. My only wish is that I could go back, but my itinerary will not permit. If you are in the area, definitely check it out. Great, friendly service too.
