We visited this restaurant today, since in the morning we had an inviting sunny weather. By the time we got to Cuxhaven it got rainy, and next to the seaside it was VERY windy. Once we arrived to the restaurant, inside was a very comfortable temperature, looking very clean and sounding very ... quiet :) The menu was pretty long, and they served vegetarian food too (Rösti). We chose a schnitzel and a North see crab dish, and both were amazing! The portions are generous, the food is delicious: we are going back for more, for sure! The only thing that I'm not sure of, is wether the restaurant had menus in english, or only in german.

We enjoyed a business lunch on a great day in Cuxhaven (very sunny). This restaurant has a very nice sun room in the back - request to sit here. The food was very good, with a good variety. Typical northern German dishes, with other unique flavors. Our group all got something different and enjoyed our plates. Good option when in Cuxhaven and close to the Castle.

We come here regularly as it opens mostly everyday plus service is good, seating is all nice with the view to the sea and the food is relatively good. It is part of a hotel. The resto is where all ships are passing from the north sea to the elbe river and vice versa. At the right tome of the day, the restaurant makes announcements of what ships are passing by, their names, their loads, their technical detail, their point of departure and their destination. That was such a nice experience.

Dropped in for a late lunch before catching a train out. We spent a very pleasant hour or so, in a nice, friendly and colloquial atmosphere. Food was great, herrings tasty and fresh, the crab soup delightful. Interesting location as well.Surely will come back next time I'm in town.

I ordered the Kamp burger for dinner with wedge fries. This was the strangest burger I ever had. It was a messy burger. The texture was strange as if the meat was pressed too hard, there was too much of the mayo-ketchup mixture. Nevertheless, it was a tasty burger indeed.

I have been regularly (3 times a week) in this restaurant in the last three years since 2015. There are a lot of people who come regularly several times a month, because the location and the atmosphere of this restaurant is irresistable!I love the location of this place. You sit open air directly at the beach, or indoors protected against the Northsea weather - wind, or rain or even both. The service staff has been always very friendly end helpful. The staff in the kitchen is great.

Cuxhaven is perhaps not your first priority when it comes to visit something touristic on a half Sunday off. But we did and mainly to have some nice well prepared fish for lunch. We started with âDoppelmatjesâ and âKrabbensuppeâ followed by âKutterschollenfiletâ. Everything was cooked to almost perfection and well-seasoned. The service was both friendly and effective. And to our big surprise they accepted Mastercard as a mean of payment. Not very common in rural Germany. It was even very easy to find parking space nearby.

Once in a while, you got that lucky shot. This restaurant had it all! It was unique, old fashioned and cosy. The food was super delicious and the staff ultimate lovely. Go there and make sure to have a fresh drafted Haake Beck with your fish platters. Thank me later :-)
