Family owned and operated restaurant is a local favorite. Run by husband, wife , and daughter they provide good home cooked food with fresh ingredients.Wonderful wienerschnitzel.

When I first walked down town by my own I didn't notice this lovely place (Sunday closed), but some days after a German friend of mine chose randomly this place, and it was perfect, so typical food, ambiance, music, kind services to be German, you can find typical Germans food of the region and also drinks! I would definitely come back!! Open until mid night Tuesday to Saturday, not expensive and great great place to stay so German style

Sehr gemütlich Atmosphäre, viel Holz daher tagsüber eventuell etwas düster und drückend, abends aber perfekt. Weihnachtlich geschmückt aber nicht überladen, sehr freundlicher Service. Allerdings war schon zu merken wer im Haus bekannt ist und wer nicht.Meine Entenbrust wird mir noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben. Besonders die SoÃe mit noch leicht knackigen Linsen war ein Gedicht.Wir werden wieder kommen!

Nice view over the Rhine Valley into France and the Vogesen mountains from the terrasse. Ulmer beer on tap, unfortunately only small glasses to be had though. I had the sirloin steak with herbal butter and fries, very good and cooked just as I ordered it. My wife had the Salmon with Linguine in a curry sauce. Both were very good, and I can recommend this location wholeheartedly.

The dishes here were a bit hit and miss. Unfortunately the main dish we wanted to try (the local trout) was already finished at 8pm on a Saturday so we did not have the pleasure of trying it and I found the menu fairly limited for alternative fish / light dishes. However all the food was very well presented and good with the exception of one dish which was a gnocchi with a local interpretation of sauce and not at all to our liking. That's fine but if 80% of a dish is not eaten its nice if the staff can take an interest in why so feedback can be passed on to the chef. The restaurant is a 15 minute drive from Baden and tucked away at the end of a residential road but a very charming setting with a garden terrace and pond and water feature. Avoid the gnocchi - ask when booking if all fish is available and you will have a good experience. Its also a good place to go with groups as you can still hear one another in this very peaceful setting.

The most stunning location that I have ever stayed at. Built in the grounds of Burg Windeck castle this is a hotel that you must stay at if visiting the area.Dinner and drinks watching the sunset was just fabulous. The mushroom ravioli was fantastic.Bed was very comfortable for us. Room very clean.Highly recommended. Would stay again.

This is a real "hidden" excellence.We passed by there and noticed this small place and the menu exposed outside.Intrigued by the fact that there were not so many people inside as in all the other touristic places, we decided to try. Well, we were lucky, as this was the best culinary experience in our short vacation in the area of the Black Forest.Super start with some amuse bouche with a small raw high quality shrimp and some crunchy and flavored cracker. The best meat tar tar ever, well marinated, well garnished with cream, mustard, caviar, crunchy waffles and few spices and leaves. Size of the meat cut perfect as well as the meat quality.One genius dish: the corn in 4 shapes. We had a ring of polenta, some pop corns, few kernels of corn, corn based cream and the perfect combination with the only stranger ingredient of the dish that was the hazelnut. Really amazing dish.Service really warm and welcoming.You guys deserve a Michelin star, it is evident all the hard work and the passion you put in what you do. I would go back again to taste the Autumnal menu!Well done!!Thank you so much for your review.
