Bei gutem Wetter nach dem Bad draussen sitzen mit der Zeitung und a Bier; da kommt man wieder auf die Beine! Prost :)
I was on a business dinner. Good service. Good Schwabian food like "Spaetzle" (type of "gniochi"). Chicken noodles soup with pies (Maultascher Soup) was very good. Oxetail soup (though sounds scary) was even better. Schwabian Spaetzle with lentils was very good. Main dish out of Lever was just great! Lever was soft (not rubbery), noodles were good, brown sauce was just full of flavour! Well, I enjoyed. In the end home made fruit made schnaps. It was cool place. I would return.
Wir waren auf eine Hochzeitsparty mit etwa 90 Leuten eingeladen. Essen war als Buffet angerichtet, aber perfekt und ohne Wartezeiten organisiert. Tipptopp Service, super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Gastronomie in ihrer besten Form.

Everyone in our party was happy with their food. Main courses mostly came with a help-yourself salad bar so starters not really needed. Excellent German cuisine, and good service. Prices we thought were reasonable for the quality of the food.

Good restaurant in the Bishoffs hotel building, accessible from a small street. Very good tasty and original burgers, and their cauliflower soup is superb. Nice industrial looking decoration, quite original. Very good service. A bit expensive for burgers, but still highly recommended.
Located at a trailhead for the Urach Waterfall.Their parking is free IF you're eating there. Do NOT park there and then go hike.Great food and large portions! The "riblet" was NOT small ribs as expected, but a delicious steak. The schnitzel was big enough for 2 people.Decent prices.

If you stay overnight a t the hotel, this is anyhow the only place where to eat as the next town is 10 kilometers away. So no regret to do so, even if the quality is basic and I had the opportunity to eat far better Swabian cuisine....

Wonderful little restaurant a few miles outside of Bad Urach. We made reservations, but were delayed by traffic and arrived just 30 minutes before closing. There were no customers left. The whole crew, including kitchen staff and the waitress was waiting for us at the door and served us with a smile. The chef came to make sure the food was good. Most of us had the rossbraten, a local dish that is a thick steak with sauteed onions. The steak was a perfect medium/medium rare. The spaetzle and veggies were excellent. They are also well known for their cakes and pastries. We had the black forest cake (Schwarzwaelder Kirschtorte) and my wife said it was the best she had at a restaurant or Konditorei in Germany. We had a two year old with us, they brought us a high chair and we did not feel uncomfortable with the baby, as one of the previous reviewers had mentioned, though we did not have any other guests around us. The service was friendly, pleasant and efficient and not rushed despite us being there so close to closing time. The grounds of the restaurant are beautiful, the Schloessle (little castle) is very cute and decorated with antiques and the area around the restaurant is very pretty. It is a great place for a day out followed by a meal or cake and coffee at the restaurant. There is plenty of parking. Closing time is a bit early at 8 pm.

I really love this kind of restaurant. It´s serving traditional (german) food with all the up-to-date influences of the modern kitchen. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. Go there!

We run our restaurant with a German Gold home-style kitchen, with a slightly raised style. We mainly use regional products. The ambience is a bit modern. The restaurant is decorated with bright and warm tones.
We had a pleasant meal at this restaurant. Service was attentive and the food was tasty German cuisine. The restaurant has a café atmosphere to it, it is centrally located in the pedestrian zone of Bad Urach. If you are a gluten free eater, this restaurant does not offer many choices.
