We ate here on our first lunchtime on our German holiday and from then on it was our tried and tested favourite placeInitially we came here for schnitzel, which were superb and came in so many different ways. My boys ate the schnitzel here four times in just six days! My favourite was the venison, which had been slow cooked and came with the traditional German accompaniments. My husband rated the steak as first class. Wonderful service too by charming, smiling , attentive waiting staff. Highly recommended.?Thank you for your visits to our house and the great rating! We were very happy about it and would be very much looking forward to a return visit during your next vacation!
This restaurant provided excellent service. It is a typical German restaurant with a very good menu card and ice desserts. Very good food. Easy to bring your young ones and there is a lot to look at due to the varied decoration and a fireplace. Cosy I would say. Will come back

Never before have I seen such a variety of schnitzels. You could probably visit every day for an entire month and try out a new kind of schnitzel every evening. But there's more. On my second visit, I had a fantastic serving of oven-baked feta with tomato, garlic, onions and various spices. So even for a vegetarian, this place is worth a visit. But for lovers of schnitzels - this is a must-try!
Riemann restaurant & hotel is a family owned and managed, located in the centre of Bad Lauterberg. At walking distance you find the Kurpark & Kneipp Promerade. The established dates from 1970 and furnishings and decoration provide a seventies atmosphere. In summer you can dine or have a glass at the terrace. The menu is traditional German. We came on a weekday and the terrace was full, a good sign. We went for a classical German course and beer and were not disappointed. Food good presented and tasty. Service is adequate and friendly. We recommend Riemann restaurant to anyone who seeks OK German food at a acceptable price.

Only had a cup of coffe at this establishment, but this was excellent and very reasonable. The main reason for visiting the Berggaststätte was for the view across the valey. Fantastic

Sehr nette Inhaber, tolles Essen, sehr schöne Lage.

Petermanns Cafe and Restaurant is located in Bad Lauterberg, a short walk uphill the Kirchberg from the Kurpark. The restaurant is not easy to find. Petermanns is a modest somewhat outmoded seventies ambiance. We came on a weekday evening and the establishment was totally empty, not a good sign. With good reviews we decided Petermanns a try. What a deception. The food was mediocre. The Dauerbrenner was so-so. The Fitnessteller appeared uneatable. Service is adequate. We canât understand the positive review. Petermanns is a never-again-show.
