Halfway between Stubnerkogel (top lift station) and Angervalley this Alm provides for tranquil Alp surroundings with all home produced ecological meals. The huge cold platters with cheese, ham and sausages are highly recomended and make a great hiking (or skiing) break.
Evianquelle Restaurant is located in a beautiful spot, surrounded by mountains, forest and river. We serve traditional Austrian food and beverages, Trout fish, living in our own ponds and Evianquelle water from our spring.
If you looking for the traditional meals in cosy and comfortable atmosphere mind this place to visit. Friendly service and amazing nature and mountain views as a bonus.

Very busy restaurant at the top of the cable car ride, full of skiers tucking into a good selection of food. The restaurant was busy when we there although there were a few free tables although several seats were covered in ski gear which made it difficult to sit down but plenty of room inside and outside (for smokers). Service was fairly quick and staff were pleasant and accommodating with good portions of food.

The feeling is that you can come for dinner/food but they don't expect you back. The service is East-block style so not very friendly, rather unfriendly, everything seems a bit hard. Our order was mixed up, I first received the wrong dish, so my Wiener schnitzel came a bit after the food for my company. The food itself as average, not bad but not extremely good. I will try another place the next time I come to Bad Gastein.Dear Mr. Carl S,thank you for your comment on Tripadvisor. After reading your comment, we can say sorry that you get a bad feeling in our restaurant as fell that you had the feeling that there is a East-block style.Normally our staff is not unfriendly or hard and we can only say, that we hope that you will visit us again and we can show you our Orania Stüberl in a better way as well our staff. We wish you all the best and a lovely summer - time.Kind regardsOlaf von der WetternGeneral Manager

Our rustical "Alm" with typical austrian special small foods is open monday-tuesday-wednesday-friday-saturday from 18:00-23:00.
We have stayed in Bad Gastein already several times but never noticed this wonderfull authentic alm. It is situated on the main road from Gastein towards Bockstein. This more than two hundreds years old building being run by one family more than 60 years offers a variety of local meals / each of them being freshly preperad and very tasty. Great service by the family members. For me this is the place where I would even just sit, drink a beer and enjoy in peace the atmosphere and fantastic historical pieces of everyday needs which will sorround me there.

Visited in Summer, lovely weather to sit out side. We could enjoy some strudel and drinks and look out over the play garden where our son could play. Great swing with gorgeous backdrop of snow capped mountains and the himmelwand side of the mountain. It's a lovely 15-20 min hike from the parking lot.

One of the most legendary alpine huts in Austria on sunny 1300m high above Bad Gastein, directly at the slope of the Stubnerkogel ski run and for decades a popular meeting place and known for its hospitality. In the rustic lodge with stunning flair and a
Nice wooden restaurant with a open fire right in the middle. Over three floors so if youâre unlucky you have to navigate down three narrow flights or stairs to get to the toilet.Foodâs pretty good although the meat in the Goulash soup was a little grisly.Quite fun to do the toboggan run from here (costs â¬6.50 per person) using the old one-man chair lift!!Dear Guest, thank you for being part of our legend.Thank you for your comments. It is not possible in a historic building to have toilets on every level. sorry for that.Hope to see pou soon on a lower level :-)AnastasiaManager
