Only visited 3 weeks ago got the same order and everything about the orders was different. The mushroom starter was amazing last time with garlic and cream sauce. Yesterday it was bland, no sauce and presented totally differently to my wife and friends disappointment. We ordered the beef dinner that was amazing 3 weeks ago,it was lovely succulent thick cuts of beef which was presented amazingly. Yesterday it was sliced thin, not the same taste, presented differently and we had to order more veg and gravy at an extra cost. Itâs frustrating because itâs was spot on but seems like costs are being cut already but the prices are the same. People will start to not go back if they receive food like that yesterday. Would love an explanation to why everything was so different from the starter and mains to the bland tastes and lack of presentation in such a short space of time and we paid over £100 for 4 of us. If itâs not broke donât try to fix it. Probably wouldnât risk going back now as you just donât know what your going to get.

Loved this place, the food was excellent. Service was also very good. Shrimp start was divine and excellent combination with the horseradish. Both the duck liver pate and ham hock terrine off the set menu were good. For mains, the grilled chicken was cooked to perfection and the chips were fab. Again the set menu dishes of chicken and fish pie were very good. The seat menu was excellent value. I will be back

A family run pub serving homemade Pub Classics, open from noon daily, serving food until 9pm Monday _ Saturday and 7.30 pm Sunday. Disabled facilities and a beer garden with parking available to the rear of the pub
Visited on a busy Thursday evening. A friendly local pub with houses nearby so be quiet as you leave! Good selection of reasonably priced meals & a good selection of beers. Servings are large and the chicken and mushroom stroganoff was well presented and pretty good. For dessert, I had to have the chocolate fudge cake which was pretty amazing.

We happened to be driving through the area and decided to try . So glad we did ! The waiter was so friendly and attentive. We had various starters from duck pate to the black pudding. We all really enjoyed it . Two of us had the curry which was excellent! Non of that chain food you often find with bars . Another had the burger and another had the stuffed chicken . We all cleared the plates ! Highly recommend this place ! A great choice on the menu and you get excellent portions . If anyone is rating this place as terrible they seriously need to get a life ! I would recommend this place to everyone and will certainly go back again and again . Cheers guys ! You do a first class jobThank you so much for your kind feedback! See you again soon!

A warm and friendly pub serving restaurant quality food, as well as a large variety of real ales and an extensive gin bar
Went for a family meal on a Sunday evening. All four of us really enjoyed our meals. We had cock and bull, rump steak and chicken burgers. Empty plates all round. Good homemade chips and very tasty onion rings. One of many good meals we've had at the foresters.
