Really nice staff who provided quick and efficient service. I had cauliflower soup followed by the fish bake - both were delicious. My husband enjoyed bread and oils, a tasty burger and an enormous cheeseboard. There was a good ambience and we will certainly return next time we are in this area.

The Sir Tom Finney is a fantastic venue in the middle of a vibrant residential area that specialises in high quality food and drink. With a full menu, light bite menu and a childrens menu all providing well portioned, delicious and most importantly fresh
I stopped by for a meal after finishing work, knowing their kitchen had reopened after a change of staff, and will be back on a much more regular basis. Wednesday is half price steak night. Rib-eye steak good, medium, good chunky chips, homemade peppercorn sauce with a background of rosemary, hand made onion rings in a lovely light batter. But, this is a strange one. The half tomato, a sprinkle of rosemary and seasoning before going under the grill. Amazing flavour. I will be returning (mostly on Wednesdays).

Went on Wednesday night for a family birthday. It's a lovely pub / restaurant which is very tastefully furnished. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Good choice of food (which arrived very promptly) and really tasty, generous helpings... The children's portions were as big as the adults! Service was excellent and there was a lovely atmosphere to the place. We will definitely return when up in the area..

The Derby Arms is a rather handsome partially thatched pub set in the tranquil rural village of Treales near Preston, Lancashire.Inside youâll find open fires, old beams and a great big bar plus the odd twist or two that befits the quirkiness of this beau
Family visit there were 7 of us. We decided on starters and to be fair they were fine. I had the pie for main course as I didn't fancy anything else, there is a lot of chicken on the menu. My pie was dry and the meat was tough I sent it back asking for the pie to be removed. To be fair the manager did offer an alternative but I really didn't want anything else. The others said there meals were okay but I wouldn't return. I was not charged for my meal which was a plus

Complements to the Chief for the superb dishes that were served, we could not fault anything. Lot of choice and specials available. This is a lovely coaching type Inn with lots of ambience inside.Although we live quite a long drive away, having visited on a Travelzoo voucher deal, but we will definitely go back.Thank you so much, I will ensure Lewis and Rowena see your review :o)

The Hand & Dagger is a traditional country pub, dog friendly, with an open fire and Beer Garden, enjoying a pretty rural location by the Lancaster Canal at Treales, nr. Kirkham. Serves a range of excellent home-made dishes mixing traditional pub fayre wit
The food was lovely and the waiting staff were very polite. Unfortunately, the yorkshire pudding and gravy slipped off my plate when the waitress was putting it down and landed on the floor via my white top. She apologised and went to get me another one. My top had several gravy marks on it and the back of the chair was covered in gravy. The landlord just walked past and said "oh dear have we had a spillage" When I pointed out it had landed on me and I had gravy on my top he just waltzed off and said "its only a few spots, send me the cleaning bill" in a very sarcastic manner. I'm not sure how you are supposed to bill somebody for something that you will be fixing at home. I found him extremely rude and uncaring and at the very least they could have knocked something off the bill or offered a free drink but absolutely nothing. It's a shame as we have always enjoyed the meals here but it has made me think again about returning especially after reading other reviews about his attitude towards paying customers.

The Running Pump Inn has been serving beer since the 1600s, becoming a formal hostelry in the 1800s. The pub offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with antique furnishings, original wood & tiled floors, wood burners to cosy up to in the winter months an
