We really enjoyed the lunch menu. It was delicate, flavoursome and nicely presented. Itâs obvious that there is a serious amount of preparation time involved. Honestly, â¬16 for 2 courses represents good value for money in my view. BUT if youâre a big eater it might not do. Portions are satisfying. The wine a Riesling was great with our meal. Staff very helpful. Well worth a visit. BTW locals ate here lunchtime. Usually s good sign.

L'Abattoir Cafe, well know place in Strasbourg, has just reopenning his doors the first October 2015 ! Everybody's welcome With 8 draught beer, more than 30 beers in bottle, a selection of spirit and as well as some tasty french wine, we hope you'll find
A great find, popular with the Strasbourg uni crowd, and no wonder with a cozy atmosphere, delicious beers, great affordable food and friendly staff. Whatâs not to like? We arrived without a booking but they found us a table, helped with the menu (loved the tasty cheese flambé) and were overall good guys. Happy hour 5-8pm meant a pizza, a flambé and 4 drinks( 2 of which were delicious pints of blonde and Christmas beer) came to a crazy low 32 euros. Terrific

This is a perfect restaurant to come to when you are hungry! :) The heart-warming Alsatian food will pass muster with everyone, and the bill won't leave a bad taste in your mouth either.I've been in Strasbourg for 4 months now, and the tartes flambees are definitely by far the best I have had anywhere, and they do arrive very quickly. For the main course, the portions are huge, and really delicious. Amongst us 4 we had very unusual spaetzle, a wild boar stew, a roast duck - it was all amazing. Consider whether you want a starter or dessert - it would be very difficult to find space for both! The only - very small - downside for me was the water in the carafes: it was definitely tap, with the characteristic taste of unfiltered tap water. Instead of getting a free carafe, splash out on bottled water here.
