Reviews on Gastropub food in Ischia, Province of Naples, Italy. Serving as the main port town for the island of the same name, the town of Ischia has been inhabited for centuries, famous for its beaches and the healing waters of its spas. The town is divided in two: Ischia Porto is the harbor district and commercial center of the island, filled with brightly lit taverns and bars, and Ischia Ponte, the historic quarter, with its ancient castle and its stone streets seemingly frozen in time.

There is a difference between a regular bar and a cocktail bar. This place figured it out. As a New Yorker we have high expectations everywhere we go, and this place meets everything you could want when on vacation. The drinks are all made to perfection, simple fresh ingredients all from the island. They set themselves apart with the attention they give to their tables. The service, the snacks they put out on the table ( without asking) and my favorite of all after a few drinks of you do get hungry they make fantastic sandwiches. The atmosphere is chill, with great music in the background. The place is located on the water so you are staring at yachts and boats and some of the beautiful greenery of the island. The cherry on top is its a family owned business. The dad is the bartender master and the two brothers Gianni and Daniele manage and take care of the hospitality side. You can tell that these guys have traveled to many bars around the world to bring everything they felt necessary to their own cocktail bar. I highly recommend coming here for before dinner drinks or after dinner drinks or both. Itâs a must go to on the island.

Chill vibe with fun music. We had the owner pick 4 dishes for us. It was perfect. He was playing American 70âs music and was very friendly and helpful. So glad we found this gem!

We were invited by a friend who wanted to have lunch together right on the beach. I was a little skeptical because the evening before we had a fabulous meal.Anyway we met at the restaurant at 2:00pm and it looked just like any ordinary fast food beach type lunch stand. There were six for lunch and my friend who eats there daily was commander and chief of the meal requests. I ordered spaghetti with clams and shrimp in a light tomato broth. When the food arrived I couldn't not believe the size of the portion..it was filler with clams and shrimp with the most delicate sauce I've experienced so far on my travels through southern Italy...it was beyond excellent.Everyone sitting there also enjoyed their meal with the same passionIf you are looking for that special gem that will excite your palate then look no further..You would never expect a small open beach restaurant to be this goodMy friend will kill me if he finds out I wrote this review
