A wide selection of quality food prepared with fresh, local and seasonal produce. Our 'Wold Famous', award winning, pies are complimented with a well stocked cellar and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Nice little old fashioned pub in a lovely location. It was booked by friends who live nearby, but they hadnât been there before. A huge choice of pie fillings (30+)but we did say, later, that weâd rather have had about 6-8 choices and known it was super fresh. The menus were a bit grubby & tatty - a pet hate of mine as it makes me want to wash my hands again! It was mid week lunch so wasnât busy at all, prompt service. Huge portions. The filling in my steak & kidney was delicious but my man found the steak & guiness filling in his a bit too mushy. The crust wasnât very short - a bit too crunchy & dry and didnât compare well with a pie weâd had in a Hawsker pub a couple of days earlier. Veg, chips & gravy all really good. The young woman on the bar was lovely, really helpful and polite. Thank you for your feedback following your recent visit to the Piebald Inn.We have had an extremely busy summer and consequently our menus have been in constant use, however we are awaiting new ones from our printers. We use high quality meat in all of our dishes, and during cooking this can fall apart - all pies are freshly cooked daily.Looking forward to seeing you soon,Best regards

Fell over this gem while looking around for somewhere to eat Sunday lunch. We both went for the 2 meat choice and there certainly wasnât a shortfall in quantity. The meats were cooked to perfection as where the vast selection of vegetables. Service was prompt and the staff were lovely and friendly. Even though we were full we couldnât resist the sweet menu. Definitely highly recommended.

What a lovely place for lunch. Worth a short drive inland from the coast. Painstakingly restored, attentive staff and knowledgeable owner. Great they also allowed our 2 dogs, water provided for them. Delicious fresh food, good gluten free menu. I wish this establishment the very best, you deserve it. If ever back this way we will be back.Hello carolyn hThank you so much for coming to have lunch with us. Your recommendation that people take the drive inland to us was very much appreciated.I'm so glad you enjoyed your time with us and thank you for highlighting that our four legged furry family members are always welcome in The Parlour.....(I hope you won't mind, for the benefit of other guests, if I mention that if anyone wishes to dine in that area it's always wise to make a reservation.)I'm delighted that you enjoyed your time with us and your kind and complimentary words are very much appreciated.Thank you very much indeed for your best wishes and I do hope you will have chance to visit us again at sometime in the future.

The Copper Horse is proud of its reputation of being one of the best places to eat. Our creative Evening menu features a variety of Traditional and Modern English Classic dishes together with Seasonal Daily Specials, and we offer Lite Bites for Lunch, Chi
We were lucky enough to be staying at the Copper Horse when they were relaunching their restaurant. We were invited along to their soft opening and we had a lovely evening. The food was of a very high quality and quite substantial. I really enjoyed my beef brisket which had been slow cooked and was melt in the mouth delicious. My sticky toffee pudding for dessert was also great. We enjoyed some very nice local gin and tonics and had a fantastic evening overall. It was certainly great pub food!
Visited during our recent holiday to Filey and looking on the website we had quite high hopes. Me and the family love a good burger but I'm afraid it was all a bit of a let down.First of all, this isn't so much a burger/diner but rather a pub selling grub at the back. A bit taken aback we stayed as we were hungry and the food was the most important part. Went to the bar and asked where we should sit. The lady serving didn't really have a clue nor did she look like she was that interested. Instead we ended up sitting ourselves down and finding our own way about. After discovering you order in a back room, we ordered some starter plates (squid, breaded mushrooms and chicken satay) and two burgers. One was advertised as having a fried egg. My missus being six months pregnant and having being advised to not eat underdone eggs asked for a well done one. We also asked to upgrade to Sweet potato fries. The chap was very nice and polite but seemed to have difficulty working the ordering machine which looked way too fancy for the job, especially as the kitchen was two feet behind him. This took quite a few minutes to order.Starters came back quick enough and were ok but not home made. Burgers then arrived with an underdone egg and cold chips (no sight of the fries). All was pretty bland and cold. The missus' burger was returned with a well done egg but on the same burger and bread bun so the slime from the underdone yolk was still there which made it inedible for her. Finally the sweet potato chips arrived as we had almost finished and again were cold.Whilst the waitress was very apologetic and again very friendly, we just felt really let down by the whole thing. Very rarely do I leave food but on this occasion both plates were rather full by the time we left.In contrast, the gent sat to the side of us has a perfectly good looking Scampi and chips and left us wondering if we should have stuck to something simple as it did look rather good. All in all, I would suggest that the owners need to decide what they actually want to be as its all a bit muddled. I'd also stick to simpler pub grub than the long list of burgers and toppings, especially whilst the chef cannot cook.Keep expectations low and food simple and you might not be too disappointed.
