We had dinner in this restaurant, food and service were both very goodWe picked a menu of 31 Euro, including starter ,main and dessert. After the main course my wife and myself decided to skip the dessert, simply because it would have been to muchTo our big surprise the owner tried to raise the price to 39 Euro, based on the price of the starter and the main course à la Carte ! Only after I told him him that he cannot blame us and charge more because we did not take the dessert ,he adjusted the bill. Poor behaviour in our eyes!

The great feature of this restaurant is the view across the beach and estuary to the commercial port on the far bank - distant enough to be interesting, but not noisy or distracting. The food is good and some dishes are of a very high standard - try the gravlax of daurade and the sole. Others are less so - the declinaison of homard (bland) and the lieu jaune (excess citrus). However, each dish on the limited menu is interesting and well presented. As one would expect the fish is of high quality and the basic cooking of it faultless. Cheeses are local, well chosen and simply presented with generous portions. The calvados inspired tarte was a splendid way to round off the meal. The wine list is adequate, but rather uninspiring. It concentrates on small producer mid-range Loire and Burgundy, but some of the lesser known appellations from both regions would offer better value.Service was excellent throughout.
