Omg what a gem of a place! Limited menu and a bit on the expensive side but the food beyond amazing... We went straight into mains, had pork belly with crackling and black pudding on a smokey bean sauce. The only thing I could say was a little disappointing was the sauce I would say more tomato than smokey but apart from that!! I had a side of cauliflower cheese gorgeous hubby had thick cut chips lovely. Too full for pudding , but if in area again this would be a must Hello T6344Ndonnah, Thank you for your wonderful review of The Pigs, I'm glad to see that you enjoyed your meals. I'll pass the comments regarding the portion size to our kitchen team. The White Horse is popular pub situated near the bottom of the High Street, which makes it a convenient place for locals and tourists alike. We ate here twice during our stay and found the staff friendly and efficient on both occasions. Our first visit was on a busy Sunday evening, but that had no detrimental effect on the service we received. Despite the pub and restaurant being very busy, the atmosphere felt relaxed, with a pleasant buzz about the place. We had Sea Bass with samphire and crushed new potatoes and the Camembert and mushroom burger. Both dishes we well presented and very tasty, although the sea Bass fillet could have been a little bigger. On our second visit was had cassoulet and the lamb shoulder, both dishes lived up to our expectations and were very enjoyable. We look forward to returning to the White Horse next time we visit Blakeney.Thank you for taking the time to review The White Horse,We are delighted to hear such lovely comments regarding the menu. We shall be sure to pass them onto our kitchen staff. We do hope to see you again soon,Kind RegardsThe White Horse Management Team

We recently visited this beautifully renovated pub in Briston. A lot of care and attention has been lavished on the building and the gardens, making it a real asset to the village of Briston in North Norfolk. When we arrived at 7.30, only two days after it reopened, the restaurant was already full bar one table. The staff are young, cheerful and local. We opted for the fixed price menu of 3 courses which was excellent value. We both started with fish cake croquettes, very light with a tangy green salsa sauce. For the main, I enjoyed chicken wrapped in Parma ham with charred vegetables which was moist and tender. My husband had the Mediterranean vegetable pasta. For dessert, I had a very good Eton mess, my husband had a fruit crumble. There are a lot of local pubs in the area offering food but youâre only as good as your chef and this one is excellent. The wine list is good with many wines available by the glass.Weâll come back again soon to try the Sunday lunch.

The Walpole Arms, Itteringham, dating back to the 18th century is a traditional country pub, sitting within the heart of north Norfolk's picturesque countryside in the village of Itteringham. Itteringham stands on the River Bure, four miles north west fro
Very popular restaurant and seems that booking is essential especially at weekends. Nice welcome and cloakroom service, which is sadly often lacking a lot these days. Tables, although somewhat crowded into the rooms, leaving little space for navigation, are set nicely and service was well timed. The weekend menu is somewhat limited in choice but there are vegetarian options for every course. I am told the fish dishes are the best, but as a meat eater opted for chicken supreme. The starters are in my opinion over-priced and the choice is quite limited. The food itself is presented well and the portions are well-sized. The quality of the produce was exceptional. Desserts are delicious but slightly over-priced at £7.50 each. The wine list is well above average and there is a good selection, which is on the whole well-priced. It would have been nice to have seen a couple of Grand Vins on the list, maybe a Pomerol or Margaux, but on the whole it is a good list. A shame I was driving!
