Visited on Friday lunchtime with a group of friends. Only one other table occupied. Most of food preordered but 2 additional meals ordered. The preordered meals had almost been consumed by the time the other 2 arrived. We had to request that someone came to take our drinks order. All food and drink took ages to arrive. Girl behind the bar 'blanked ' us when we tried to request the bill. Food ordinary. Ambiance non existent Service very poor. Would I visit again? No.Hi rosemaryc572,Thank you for taking the time to provide some valuable feedback. Went for an evening meal with my boyfriend. Food ranged from average (Sirloin steak) to good (Monkfish). Nice building. Service could have been a little quicker and more efficient (forgot to give us cutlery). Overall was hoping for a better experience for the price.

We have been staying around the area for the weekend and really wanted to find somewhere with a super tasty Sunday dinner, this is exactly the place to go! Walked in and the interior is so cosy, very Gastropub which makes you feel so welcome. We decided to have starters (pate and fish cakes) absolutely delicious and just enough to welcome us to our mains which was a very nice size (chicken and beef) I personally had the beef which was nice and pink in the middle and super juicy which is hard to find in a restaurant Sunday dinner these dayâs which was fab. I tried my partners chicken which was also nice and juicy. Everything on the plate that you need including a tasting of cauliflower cheese which is normally an extra charge most places and even gave us extra gravy without us having to ask! Canât fault the service either, all waitresses/waiters were so friendly and make you feel so welcome as you come through the door, we had to leave a tip! Always good when both me and my partner come away both saying it was the best Sunday dinner weâve had! Thank you!

We had a long drive to come here but it was well worth it. It was extremely busy in the bar but peaceful in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly. The fish pie was delicious as was the salmon fish cake. The vegetables were fresh and crisp.
