I love the Open Bistro, the food is always good and beautifully presented. There is a warm, friendly atmosphere and it is a great experience. There is plenty of choice on the menu, and so many fantastic dishes. Even though we only manage to visit twice a year, because our holiday home is too far away, the chef always remembers us and greets us. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Unfortunately, the original waitress who was there when the Bistro first opened, has left, and our only reservation is that her replacement does not seem as enthusiastic or friendly.However, the food is memorable!Dear MiriamThank you for sharing your experience at l'Open Bistro. Lunch menu. We had excellent kir royals, one peach one raspberry in the "salon" followed by two lunch menus at 59 Euros: Amuse bouche,one Crab raviolis, which was excellent but not a ravioli, and one foie gras with local figs poached and was one of the best foie gras we have eaten. My wife followed up with braised the turbot and I tried the stuffed guinea fowl breast. Again superb taste. We shared a small sample of some excellent cheeses and my wife had a selection of the deserts, though she rated those good rather than excellent. We accompanied the meal with a Saumur (at >40 Euros / btl one of the cheapest wines, some of which were 700-1000 Euros) and finished with coffees. The service was very professional and the owner a delight. However, I do not think that the meal, excellent as it was, justified the 230 euros tab.

We wanted some fuel to take on the beach opposite and walked in here with low expectations as it looked scruffy from outside and was on the main road. How wrong we were. Spoilt for choice we chose a couple of paninis which were then made just for us. They were good value and yummy too.Toute l'équipe du RDV vous remercie et vous souhaite de très bonnes vacances .
