Attended an evening of Spanish music and Paella at La Boheme with friends. The entree was a charcueterie plate - big pieces of meat and cheese which should have been cut smaller - difficult to share between us. The Paella had two prawns and a few mussels with lots of rice - bit over cooked. Fun, and good people watching, but not much else, the bathroom is quite dirty.

We were recommended to this place. First impression quite dark inside and tables dreadfully close. Set out to maximise number of âcoversâand not necessarily for comfort. We selected the 37 euro menu which had a fairly limited choice for our taste.Had the octopus (it looked like someone just sliced a bit of its tentacles) which we could not eat. Not what we had expected. (Probably should not have ordered it but choice was very limited) The consommé the octopus sat in was very good. Main course there âspecialâ chicken.A small âpoussinâ chicken roasted with mashed potatoes. Strange sauce. Cannot recall if we had vegetables or not although I donât think so.Made better at home or go to Nandoâs. Cheaper and tastier. The hi-light of the meal were the deserts which were awesome.Apart from the niggly things we were unfortunate to be sat next to a very loud gentleman from over the pond who wanted to share how wealthy he was blah blah blah. Ruined our meal and those who had the misfortune to be close (not difficult as the table was 16 inches away from us.Maybe we were unlucky but we would not eat here again.

Situated in the heart of the mediterranean garden, The Benvengudo restaurant in Baux de Provence is a true culinary experience where cooking is an art. Chef Thomas Voisin went through prestigious French starred houses before settling in the Benvengudo res
In a valley neat Les Baux, this newly renovated and adapted hotel on the base of an old farmstead there is receiving its guests in very well equipped and spacious rooms with nice views of the valley and the surrounding rocks. Comfortable rooms with nice bathrooms. Perfect service. Large outside pool. Gravel on all ways from parking to and between the buildings makes the transport of baggage a bit difficult and the baggage and trousers dirty.Excellent restaurant with food in Michelin-starred quality. Excellent regional wine list, perfect service. Not cheap, but really worth the stay, best for more than just one night as we had.Dear Georggoetzelmann,Thank you very much for such a nice review about your experience at Benvengudo. We are delighted to read that you appreciated your dinner, the wine list and the service. Moreover, it is a great honor reading that in your opinion the quality of the food is "Michelin-starred". Our Chef, Thomas Voisin and his team are dedicated in order to provide the best to our guests. We look forward to welcoming you back in Provence Warmest regards, General manager.

The front of the restaurant is extremely unprepossessing and even inside its cafeâ feel is inescapable. There is a simple 3 course menu for â¬26 (some small supplements for certain dishes) and a decent wine list, supplemented by excellent house wines (Aureto) by the glass or carafe. This is a two person husband and wife team, with the extremely welcoming Meigge in front of house and her talented chef husband, Richard slaving away in the kitchen. All the ingredients are fresh and from the region, and are painstakingly cooked and beautifully presented. However, all this takes time so donât expect fast service. Better go there without any time constraints or with friends to while away the time between courses - but the quality of the food, its presentation and the feeling of a genuine welcome make a visit worthwhile.
