Comfortable, tasteful decor with great music playing. Staff were very pleasant, helpful and attentive. Good range of dishes at very reasonable prices.Mediterranean pasta with chicken was delicious, very tasty and piping hot from the kitchen. Cumberland curl and mash equally delicious. This came with very tasty gravy and a small amount of crispy leeks. (An extra vegetable served with this may be a good idea)Chocolate brownie with ice cream and a white chocolate and lime pie with cream were both very nice. Will definitely return

Village pub serving traditional British pub grub with an a la carte menu also on offer. Good atmosphere, separate bar area with beer garden for sunny days.
After hearing good reviews about this place we thought we would give it try. Everything we wanted on the menu they didnât have. Couldnât even get a steak. Not much atmosphere in here either.

Warm, cosy and relaxed pub in Durham serving homely and authentic food made from locally sourced produce. We serve a wide selection of quality real ales from local micro-breweries as well as speciality imported beers, hand picked wines and spirits.
Shame as could have been just lovely. Starters lovely however over cooked steak (did another but everyone had eaten and the birthday girl ended rushing hers). Very dry mince and dumpling with quite bland pasta. The most watery latte ever - didnât even know you could kill coffee that way, however brownies went down well. Overall average. Same really. May just have been a bad day.

We visited as 4 persons and ordered a variety of starters like ox cheek and prawns followed by mains of pork duo, duck, fish and chicken. Washed down with 2 bottles of Ondes Sauvignon Blanc at a fair £146, reasonable and will revisit but not fantastic
