This was my first and last time at 101 Beer Kitchen. We were seated fairly quickly and greeted by a very nice waitress, she took our drink order, came back quickly and took our food order. I had the burger, no mayo, medium (although I do love a medium rare burger) and my companion ordered the pretzel bites. We waited.....and waited......and waited. Finally someone who couldâve been a manager quickly came by and said that our food would be right out. He dashed off before I had a chance to look up to see him. But, he was right, our food came out shortly thereafter. We probably waited 30 minutes for our food. The pretzel bites are huge and the fries are really good!Burger came with mayo, but thatâs ok. I figured Iâd just add some mustard.....oh, there isnât any on the table. As I was enjoying my yummy fries and waiting for the waitress so I could ask for some mustard, I noticed the bun was really wet from the juices of the burger and I wondered how I would pick it up without having it fall apart. Anyway, I smushed down the bun and noticed my plate now had a good amount of juice on the bottom. It looked like someone spilled beef broth on my plate. Seriously, Iâve never seen such a juicy mess. Then, I cut the burger in half and then realized that the juicy mess was nothing compared to the raw, cold meat appearing before my eyes. I flagged down the waitress, showed her my plate. She agreed that was not right and took it back to the kitchen. In about 10 minutes I got another burger. Whew! After all that, the burger was a disappointment. It lacked any real flavor even though crispy bacon strips were added to the top. It was forgettable, for sure. Now, this whole time I am thinking that this is probably just a hiccup for them and Iâd come back to give them another try. I thought âI bet they comp my burger or maybe the iced tea or maybe the Manager will swing by to ask if thereâs anything they can do to make this right for the customerâ. Three strikes on that one. Food taking too long to get to the table and having to send back food to the kitchen are things that just happen in the restaurant business and wouldnât have been reasons to never return to 101 Beer Kitchen. But not even attempting to make it right for the customer is easily avoided and the right thing to do. This review wouldâve been so much different had they at least done something to make it right. I wouldâve given them 4 stars, wouldâve returned to eat there, wouldâve written a great review. You are absolutely right, and this is completely unacceptable and not in line with our standards. Every table should be touched by a manager and if there is an issue the manager should be making it right for the guest. I sincerely thank you for taking the time to write your review so we know and can address the issue. You are right, this happens in our industry. However, it is supposed to be how we handle it that sets 101 Beer Kitchen apart and we failed in doing that for you. My sincere apologies. If you see this and would like to email [email protected] I promise we will rectify this situation.
We ate twice over the weekend since we were in town for a family visit (family member lives in the complex immediately surrounding the restaurant). We had dinner on Friday and Brunch on Sunday. We've eaten here before and have never been disappointed in the food. I don't believe they serve anything but freshly prepared dishes. I had a Buffalo wrap for dinner with their own home made chips. It was tasty with just the right amount of heat. I've had many of their dishes with their carnitas tacos being a favorite, along with their homemade tots. They also offer a changing menu of local beers. Check out the menu above the bar for the choices for that day. They seem to change regularly. Of course, being a bar they have a full menu of drinks.Brunch also met their standards. I had the Hot Brown. The name itself is not very appealing, but the dish was delicious. It consisted of a large section of Italian bread sliced down the middle. The bread was covered with: braised pork, beer cheese, tomato, cheddar and bacon. The pork was tender and flavorful, but the beer cheese is the prize on this dish. It brings the dish together into a very tasty combination. Our party also had the Very Berry French Toast and Huevos Rancheros. The Huevos disappeared even after the guest stated he was full and couldn't eat any more.

Local Cantina is on our list of places to meet friends for tacos. Tacos and chips and salsa are good. Music and atmosphere is tasteful. Service was friendly. Itâs a little loud to have good conversation but good nonetheless.
