Were staying at Minster Mill itself, but preferred the ambience and menu here to the hotel restaurant. We weren't disappointed.Food was excellent, from the beetroot and soup starters, to the venison and veggie cauliflower mains.Wine list good and varied.Service attentive. Came here on a sunny Sunday lunchtime. Was excited to try it out as hadn't been since it had been taken over and it is local to me via a nice walk. We got a table outside which had a great atmosphere and had some good music playing. At the moment the restaurant has a pop up kitchen due to the gas explosion in the kitchen but that really doesn't matter because there was still a good choice on the menu and more importantly, the food was delicious. There was quite a lot on the menu I could have being gluten free which was great. I had salmon which came with cocnout rice and a salsa and my boyfriend had beef quesadillas. The portions were very generous and the food super tasty. Staff were also very friendly and so we'll definitely be back to try out the full menu when it is in operation.

Had lunch at the Horse and Radish on spec. The food was better than standard pub-fare but still recognisably in that bracket. Smoked Haddock Chowder was very tasty. Moules with frites had good sized mussels, also had lots of cream in the broth. Desserts were tasty and well judged. They seem to emphasise local ingredients. The fixed price menus (just depending on number of courses) are a sensible way to price the meals. The service was intelligently adult. All in all this was somewhere we would eat again. It's quite close to the main road (the A40) so very accessible when travelling to/from Oxford.

We had dinner here. Hadnât realised until too late it was a Greene King pub otherwise would have gone elsewhere. Not much choice of real ale although the one I did have was good. We walked through to dining area and although there were plenty of staff around, they seemed quite busy chatting to each other so we didnât feel we ought to interrupt and ask to be sat down! Eventually one who was not part of that group came and showed us to a table and was very affable. We only wanted main courses and both had Haddock. It was nicely cooked, plentiful chips. Only a small contained or pea purée (almost mushy peas, which I like , just not much of it). As with all Greene King places, it was a bit expensive for what we had - £47 for two fish and chips and two large glasses of wine. Service, once weâd been noticed, was fine.

We were staying in the area to celebrate 3 family wedding anniversaries, and came here for a late Sunday lunch (about 5pm - I believe they serve food until 8pm on Sundays). Started off with one of the best espresso martinis I've had - and I've had a few!!The food was outstanding - very reasonably priced, what you expect to pay in a gastro pub of this quality. 4 of us has roasts- the beef in particular was so good, with a huge Yorkshire and really good tasty veg selection. The starters and other food was also lovely, they had a good menu selection for a Sunday. Most of us squeezed in a pudding including cheese boards which were unusual and lots of choice.Service was also exceptional, very friendly knowledgeable and patient waiter.Just wish we lived nearer!!

Travelled to the Cotswolds for a hen weekend and this was the local pub. We were met with a really warm welcome. Itâs a lovely old pub with gorgeous Cotswold stone. We all had lunch and they coped really well with lots of staggered orders at different times. We also use the pub as caterers at our venue and they delivered wonderful food to us which was great quality and lovely and hot. Highly recommend

Wet couple of days, visiting "places". What we needed was a comfortable, friendly place to eat with matching food. This ticked the boxes. Both the bar and dining room were un-fussy but obviously old, the food was good and unpretentious, the service good but unobtrusive. If we are there, we will go again.
