We live in the village and always treat ourselves and go to the George once a month. But I am sorry to say standards have really slipped. On our visit before last we just thought it was a one off but after a short interlude we tried it again. Unfortunately just run of the mill now, food nothing special and portion sizes down

We stopped at their Quay location in a first floor suite. The room was first class and comfortable. The breakfasts were very good with lots of choice each day. Most of the staff were really helpful. Compared with last year we thought the dinner menu was not quite as good with a lack of specials especially fish. Room prices have now increased but we still thought it was good value and well located in Book Festival week.Thank you for taking the time to leave us a great review Dave, I'm delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay in one of our fantastic Quay suites.
