We took pizza out from here. The service was very good indeed and quite speedy. My friend collected the pizza and said he was impressed. The food was very good. I had a pizza with salami and cheese it was good and very filling. Good job.

This was our sixth trip to Berchtesgaden but the first time we'd had self-catering facilities, which meant we ate out less often than usual - and were therefore more particular about the restaurants we chose. The only place we chose to dine out for evening meals during our stay was the Watzmann. We've visited before and the cosy atmosphere, traditional decor, friendly service and very good food always bring us back. This visit was in a very snowy week in January and it was quieter than usual inside - we were dining alone by about 8.30pm on both occasions. However, this didn't affect the friendly welcome by the lady who is also the owner - who always has a chat with us, despite our halting German and her limited English. This time we also met her adorable Westie dog, who is quite a character and sometimes sneaks into the dining area despite her efforts to keep him outside! I had the Kasespaetzle on both visits and my fiance had both beef goulash and venison goulash. All the food was good - traditional Bavarian - with hearty helpings and nice presentation. They have Berchtesgadener Hofbrauhaus beer on draft too, which is always a good accompaniment to any meal! Highly recommended for a traditional Bavarian dining experience in very friendly surroundings. We'll be back every time we return to Berchtesgaden.

We enjoyed our lunch here. The service was very efficient, and the good was exactly as we ordered. Delicious pork, sausages and other Bavarian menu items. The still water we ordered was unfortunately not chilled or from a bottle which was disappointing though.Very handy location if you are visiting the Eagle's Nest.

We wanted to easy something in the German side of the border after visiting the salt mines. The road is pretty though the last half a mile is a bit challenging to drive due to the steep curves downhill. The food is OK and inexpensive. View is amazing. The kids loved the free trampoline and playground.

Dropped in for lunch while looking around Berchtesgaden. Great menu. Extremely friendly staff and super fast service. The grilled liver is a must as is the Skrei (Norwegian winter cod). There is no WiFi access so you canât check out the sights of Berchtesgaden on the mobile app here. A pity, since we usually have have lunch and then plan the rest of the afternoon using the net and apps.

High in the Bavarian Mountains is this Guesthouse that serves really exceptional food, prepared by a chef who infuses a combination of herbs and spices that is unique. Rarely have I tasted such dishes and fellow guests all agreed. The friendly and attentive service was also excellent.

wanted a real beer hall meal and this was recommended on several travel sites -- we were not disappointed! Great atmosphere, great food, excellent bratwurst, and perfect beer. Only thing to be aware of is it's at the bottom of the hill leading to town, so if you are not driving a car, plan on a good walk after your meal or plan on grabbing a taxi to get back up to the town.
