Find out what Fusion restaurants to try in Valletta. Founded in 1565 by the Order of St John as a refuge for soldiers returning from the Crusades, Valletta is now the capital of Malta and a piece of living history. With an unsurpassed collection of original Baroque architecture, fortified city walls overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, and the spectacular Co-Cathedral of St John, which features intricately carved stone vaults and a famed painting by Caravaggio, it is no wonder that this smallest of European capital cities is a world heritage site.

PATAKKA is located on the steps of Eagle Street, in the lower part of Old Bakery Street and is situated within the walls of the majestic Palais Le Brun. The PATAKKA part of the building was indeed the bottega part of the 'Casa Bottega' of the Le Brun silv
This is the restaurant of our hotel, the Palais le Brun, but anyone can eat there. The food is beautifully presented and delicious. My only comment, when we all should be thinking of eating more sustainably, would be for them to have more vegetarian options. Otherwise well done everyone.Thank you for your review and compliments, KerryM461. We are thrilled to read that your experience at Patakka was a success. We thank you for your feedback regarding the sustainable ingredients and are working on it to improve the experience. We look forward to hosting you again in the near future

Located on one of the most Instagram-able stepped streets of Valletta. Chef Rafael Iori and our South American team will delight with a cuisine with a South American flair.
Eating on steps leading down to Valletta Harbour and having excellent Mexican influenced food seemed a lovely way to enjoy a Maltese Sunday lunch. We were not disappointed! All the staff were very welcoming and both helpful and knowledgeable with their advice regarding their Mexican styled dishes. Our table was in the shade and on a flight of steps leading down to the harbour. We had excellent starters of giant prawns with avocado and rabbit salad. This was followed by a very good Picanha beef for me and a beautifully cooked octopus dish for my wife. Together a reasonable bottle of local Chenin Blanc wine our bill came to â¬92.

With a distinct relaxed atmosphere and elegant, airy decor, it is the perfect restaurant venue to enjoy dinner with friends and family, or have a tasty working lunch with colleagues. Our renowned chefs have developed an a la carte dinner menu that combine
There is a pretty good reason why on a Saturday night you cant find a table anywhere in Valletta.. but l Artiglio is basically empty. The Atmosphere is terrible and this includes the lighting (too much), the decor (shabby) and the music (loud and inadequate).I decided late to go for dinner in Valletta and called around 10 restaurants before finding a table at l Artiglio. On my arrival I was immediately shocked by the interiors of the restaurant which looks more like a canteen. Knowing that finding a place anywhere would be close to impossible we decided to stay. Only another two tables were occupied and one, very nice, waitress was handling it all.The biggest pity is that the food is actually very good and well presented but for sure the overall experience is not at par of what Valletta is offering today.Definitely needs an overhaul. Would avoid for a nice dinner. More adequate for a good lunch.

Situated just steps away from the Grandmasters Palace Square, located in the stunning vibrant capital city Valletta, 59 Republic was born! Brimming with creativity and a passion for food, Executive Chef, Maria Sammut has been cooking with love for the pas
Looking at both their online menu and the fact that this is TA's #1 for "fine dining", we expected to have something rally fancy. The clues should have been there when we arrived at 8pm - the only people in the restaurant.Lovely modern decor, but a very dated menu - things like duck à l'orange, chicken marsala and beef wellington. Prices are also relatively high by Malta standards. We opted for just a main course. My wife had the beef wellington: nicely cooked except that the pastry on the bottom was raw. The waitress said this was because the beef was medium-rare, but my wife is a brilliant home cook and said that the trick is to cook on a rack so the heat gets to it - sear the meat all round, higher heat for 25 minutes etc etc. I had the beef fillet, which was nicely cooked. The asparagus that came with both meals was way over-cooked, stringy and limp.Considering that we were on our own for an hour, service was quite poor. They did bring us two lots of free drinks at the end, which was nice. I wouldn't go back there again.â¬99 - definitely not worth the money!Dear David,Thank you so much for taking the time to review us and note that we are number 1 on TripAdvisor for fine dining, something we worked very hard to achieve. We are so fortunate that over 92% of our guests ranked us as either excellent or very good with the majority being 5 star.So we are very disappointed that you did not have the same experience and I did send you a private message to discuss your evening at 59.We appreciate your kind comments on our lovely decor and that we gave you two rounds of complimentary drinks. Regarding our "dated" menu these are classics and sit next to many contemporary dishes. However the menu is on the website, social media and at the front door and you stated that you did see the menu before dining with us so I am not sure why the comments calling it dated. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss further and ask you to get back to me on the message that I sent.We would love to welcome you back to 59 and show you what the majority of people experience.

In the historic city Valletta, Taproom is a new contemporary concept restaurant serving lunch and dinner and also late night drinks. A vintage bar and a cozy chill area on 53a Old Theatre Street. The Brasserie is a relaxed and welcoming social space to me
I didn't like the bar table given to us, I didn't like the attitude of 1 of the waiters and finally I ordered a fillet steak steak medium cooked but got it well done instead. To be fair the other waiters were very nice and to compensate the owner gave us a liquor on the house to compensate. Too little too late in my opinion

Server very friendly, but food was very low quality! Ordered the marinated chicken burger- only to get a cheap tasting processed chicken burger. I could have got the same quality from a take away shop for a quarter of the price! Definitely overrated for what is it! Beef burger wasn't great tasting either, you can tell it was cooked from frozen. The doubled dipped fries were over cooked as well. The food is nicely served, but the quality of the food is appalling! I will not return.
