I was in Tainan for a business trip and found this lovely Israeli restaurant. It's a bakery/ cafe diner... The food 10-10, service 10-10, staff friendliness 10-10, atmosphere 10-10, design 10-10 and owners 10-10. Basically you "have" to try this place. Everything about the place is lovely as you can tell from my ratings above. But there's also a "warning" for this place, the food is so good you cannot stop yourself from going back... ;)I became a regular for the duration of my stay in Tainan. But I must also mention, the place is closed on 'Mondays' and also that it gets very busy so make a reservation before arriving.Happy happy eating.

Calling all fish lovers. If you are afraid of fishy smell of soup etc, do not worry as this is is almost free from it. Even for the famed fish skin soup. There is porridge, rice, side dishes to complement the meal and relatively inexpensive. Do note the opening hours is till 2 odd in the noon and open very early.

Came here with friends to try their young squid rice noodle. The squid is fresh, sweet and crunchy. The soup base is really another highlight which is clear but sweet as well. Just that it's quite hot and quite difficult to eat in hot summer.

Do you believe beef soup with rice is kind of breakfast of Tainan.Because when Tainan city was still developed, many worker needed to eat nutritional beakfast to absort energy. It open at 5am(or early I am not sure) till sold out is about 7~8am.

The price is a little bit expensive but the beef hot pot is definitely the best in Tainan city. They offer four different kinds of beef and each of them provides very different flavor. The owner of the restaurant would stand by your desk and watch if you cook the beef properly. Sometimes it's annoying. There is a free parking lot nearby the restaurant. We will come here again. The beef hot pot here is very good. You may have to wait for 30-60 mins during dinner time.
