Things to do in Tacna

Possibly the best value restaurant in Tacna. Ate there three times in one week. Not the most expensive nor fancy but it has a tremendous variety of food, all delicious. The pizzas are some of the best I have had in South America. They have created some great combinations of toppings including small pieces of steak. The chupes or fish stews/thick soups are extremely rich. Great for a cool evening. The Corvina cooked on an iron pan was perfect. My only regret was that I didn't get a chance to try any of the sandwiches which looked great. This places also serves Pilsen Callao and Cristal beers. There are tables upstairs that have a great view of the street below. Finally, the waiters were very helpful if you speak some Spanish. A bit pricey for Tacna but a bargain if you are from the US or Europe.

Restaurant was opened recently. Yeh service was friendly, the food had good presentation and flavour. A bit windy but confortable overall. Will come back.

La Plaza Bar & Grill of Casa Andina Select Tacna is a proposal of Peruvian cuisine fusion with Creole and regional dishes in a casual and fresh atmosphere. Our menu offers star dishes using delicious regional ingredients such as lomo saltado, candavareño
This is located in the lobby of the Casa Andina Select hotel. The menu is reasonably thorough. Service was very slow. Really, very slow. 2 hours to have dinner. The food was ok. I ordered the quinoa burger. Big platter of mediocre fair. The burgers were something thawed from the grocery store. The ultimate insult, though, was the 30 minutes it took to pay my bill, during which the waiter was constantly distracted by other tasks though there was only one other table with guests. Dear Customer,We regret the inconvenience you had during your visit to the restaurant, we will take the necessary measures to correct the mistake presented.Regards,Jessica CarpioFood & Beverage ManagerLa Plaza Bar & Grill
