Find out what Fusion restaurants to try in San Sebastian - Donostia. While many visitors come for the beaches, arts celebrations and fiestas, San Sebastian-Donostia is serious about its food and drink. The Old Quarter’s narrow, winding streets are full of bars and restaurants, and in the modern city, sidewalk cafes are all around. The city specializes in seafood. Just make sure you know not to expect dinner at 6 or 7 p.m.—that’s much too early in Spain. Instead, tide yourself over with tapas, and enjoy eating and drinking late into the night.

Bar restaurant in the Center of San Sebastian. Haute cuisine of rations and pintxos, dynamic selection of wines and beers. We serve from the first coffee in the morning until the first drink in the evening. Dish of the day every noon of working day
We had a wonderful dinner at Xiri on a Saturday evening. The restaurant / bar was busy but we were able to get a table for two without a reservation. The waiter recommended an excellent vermouth cocktail (only â¬3.50) and my husband had a really nice local beer. We took further recommendations for specials of the day and ordered a delicious tomato salad with olive oil and salt, 2 x Iberian pork (you could do just one and share as a taster) and 2 x hake. Each dish was so delicious! Itâs hard to say, but maybe the hake was our favourite? We also had two desserts and another glass of wine each. All up our bill was â¬50 and we thought this was very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food we got!! In fact, we were surprised at how cheap it was! Our friendly waiter also brought out two small glasses of a local liqueur to end the night. All up, we would definitely recommend this restaurant!! 5/5!

It is unusual to find a high quality international restaurant in the Basque Country, where the local food is so good, but Punta Sal is really extraordinary! This is an authentic Peruvian restaurant, as good as you ca find anywhere in Europe and even in Peru itself.Enjoy the tiraditos, ceviches and anticuchos! To top it all, it is not expensive at all! And the service was excellent.

This is a true gem with great staff and special chef. The food was Michelin standard - difficult to pick which dishes are special but all good. A special on the night was suckling pig - wonderful with Mexican inspired sauce involving chocolate and chilli spice. Starter with smoked sardine and a mackerel with beetroot and goats cheese etc- The main plate of duck was delicious too. Desserts stewed pineapple with rum and ice cream - spiced apple cake with violet and lemon ice cream - wonderful. Excellent wine list and guided well by staff. Around â¬100 for 2 inc wine/drinks. Very special eating experience!

Hacemos una cocina innovadora y tradicional con productos locales, frescos y de temporada.
What a fantastic place - a hidden gem! The chef is Italian and it shows in the Spanish/Italian fusion menu. The beef and tuna carpaccio were both superb. The fried peppers delicious. Perfect cooking and friendly, helpful staff.

We stayed at the Hotel NH Collection San Sebastian Aranzazu for a nine-night stay during which time we had their daily breakfast buffet as well as outdoor drinks and pintxos on three different nights. Service in both the lounge and breakfast was excellent and the servers were always pleasant, efficient, and prompt. In addition, all wait staff had an adequate command of English so our requests and needs were always met. In addition, the breakfast buffet was well attended to by the servers who were constantly replenishing the wide variety of food offerings as well as clearing tables of used dishes, filling coffee requests and relaying special food orders to the kitchen staff. The high quality level of service and attention truly made us feel welcome.Good morning,We want to thank you the time you have spent in sharing your opinion about the experience at the Nh Collection Aranzazu .It is a real happiness for us to see that we have achieved our goal, making you feeling like at home. It is the best reward for the team, and it helps us to continue working with enthusiasm and motivation. We hope to see you again on future visits to San Sebastián and feel free to contact us for anything you need, we will be happy to help you.Thank you very much again and see you soon!

The TRACAMUNDANA is a restaurant and pintxos bar. Traditional basque cuisine with avant garde and fusion accents. Quality and well presented dishes with a reasonable price.
We dined at Tracamundana on a Friday night, on arrival the front bar had live music. The restaurant is towards the rear but part of the area has tables for bar diners. The menu is typically Basque but does feature the elusive vegetables in the form of a rather good plate of grilled mixed vegetables. Recomended as a shared starter or to accompany what will be a meat or fish dominated main course. Crusty white bread comes with a modest pool of reasonable quality olive oil. There is a good selection of good quality wines by the glass as they use a special device that maintains the cork seal on the bottle but allows the wine out through a hollow needle. The octopus leg starter was one of the best I have had (I am working on having had all 8 at some time). It was accompanied by another rare Basque restaurant item, nicely roasted and salted baby potatoes. My wife's hake was fairly standard for the region. My boned sucking pig was good, tender pink meat, not too dry or fatty. Accompanied by two pieces of sweet potato. Overall, we felt that the food, whilst good, was below what we would have expected in San Sebastian. Maybe a higher grade restaurant for really good food is needed. Still, change (just) from â¬100 for two.

Organic food.We have vegan dishes, fish, organic wine and instead find organic meat. Healthy and tasty food. Nice place. Personal attention. Affordable rates.
If you've had your fill of the excellent San Sebastian pinchos and the generally meaty restaurant dishes this is a delightful vegetarian alternative. Nothing flash or showy but a simple setting with a range of well crafted cuisine for lunch or dinner.Hi. Thank you very much for your hands. I would like to clarify that we are not a vegetarian restaurant, but a restaurant with organic ingredients. We have vegetarian dishes, fish, smoked fish and a meat dish. Thanks again.

I rely on tripadvisor for recommendations.Mendaur Berria was listed as number one in San Sebastian and lived up to its ranking. We did something a San Sebastian resident would never do. We ate all our pinxos at one place. We couldn't see the point in going anywhere else. Nothing could be as good as this!Dishes can be ordered as pinxos size or racion which is bigger and probably meant for a few people. We had a racion size dish of calamari and then pinxos size of 8 other dishes followed by the lemon pie for dessert. We waddled out after paying EUR46.50!Originally we had booked a Michelin starred restaurant but cancelled it. We have been to a number of Michelin star restaurants around the world and have always walked out thinking:'OK but not worth the money'.Mendaur Berria food is beautifully presented and the server described each dish when they brought it to the table.A must visit, worth every cent!Thank you very much for your lovely words, for the visit and the review. We love that you enjoyed your experience in our house. Your opinion is very important to us, because is the way forward. We hope to see you again soon. Best regards.
