Reviews on Fusion food in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, South Africa. Mossel Bay is a harbour town of about 130,000 people on the Southern Cape (or Garden Route) of South Africa. It is an important tourism and farming region of the Western Cape Province. Mossel Bay lies 400 kilometres east of the country's seat of parliament, Cape Town (which is also the capital city of the Western Cape Province), and 400 km west of Port Elizabeth, the largest city in the Eastern Cape Province. Situated in the old railway station of Great Brak River you'll find this hidden gem, the Transkaroo Restaurant. With it's open rafters and ostrich shell chandeliers, overlooking the estuary and Indian Ocean you are quickly transformed to a bygone era of s
Friday night dinner at this place. Went there based on Tripadvisor reviews. We were not disappointed. This is a lovely restaurant with great ambiance. The service was spot on and the food fantastic. The lamb dishes can be recommended. Nice touch with the wines, no wine menu but a "bar" where all the wines are displayed. You go and choose what you want & they bring it to the table. Great selection of wines.

The Café Gannet Restaurant is Mossel Bay's seafood House. Acclaimed for local seafood specialties, ingeniously prepared. Coastal oysters, black mussels and Mossel Bay Sole are delivered daily from the harbour to make a delectable and varied a la carte men
We liked this restaurant so much we went two nights in a row. They have very good food choices from freshly made sushi to ostrich. My family really loved the Asian chicken dish! Their homemade soups are outstanding. When they have a bus or two in the restaurant service can slow down a bit but they do very well overall. Their amazing servers try and be attentive to your needs.

We only had drinks at this amazing place but we can't wait to go back. We sat on their outside upstairs veranda overlooking the busy streets of Mossel Bay sipping away on a bottle of Rose and were in awe about how this place was transformed. The detail to the building, the decor, the dress of the waiters... Everything just great and so refreshing to see a menu that doesn't have everything fried on the menu like most restaurants in Mossel Bay. We met one of the owners and have made a friend for life. We wish u guys all the best and we can't wait to enjoy a meal at the Cork and PlungerDear Tasha, Thank you for visiting us, it was amazing to meet with you both, look forward to welcoming you again soon! Thank you for what you both have done for us, really appreciate this! Best of luck for season!Taha
